New Delhi, Mar 5 (PTI) A Chinese man has been arrested by customs officials at the Delhi airport for allegedly trying to smuggle out anti-cancer medicine worth Rs 1.23 crore, according to an official statement issued on Tuesday.The accused was intercepted when he was proceeding to depart to Kunming in China on Sunday."A detailed examination of hand baggage and check-in baggages of the passenger resulted in the recovery of schedule H medicines valued at Rs 1.23 crore," the customs department said in the statement.The medicine were kept in the four check-in -baggages of the passenger, it said.Official sources said the medicine were meant for cancer treatment.Schedule H medicine cannot be sold without a doctor's prescription.The Chinese man has been arrested and the medicine were seized. My first smart phone was Xiomi. Great product and it was sold out in hours when it was launched. If they could follow rules and pay taxes, they will have great future. They have potential to become next samsung.

When the government hounds are enlisted to target any particular firm ,it can always drum up excuses, and stick targets like xiaomi to endless jurgon of court dealing ,bleeding corporate funds in the judicial circus like India is doing ; it's about the intent of the host gov .It's easy to find some technical loop holes to target any multi national firm , it's just that no nation plays outlaw like India does against common WTO standard and fair trade to target foreign firms .

Huawei is banned worldwide, so can't say about that. But even for Chinese people, those looking for 1k bucks mobile phones would look for iPhones.


There is a purchasing power parity for low income countries. But even in America, Chinese brands are sold because they are cheap otherwise it's Apple or Samsung, now don't call the Americans cheap because they buy a few hundred of Chinese phones for being cheap.

What do you know? Americans buy phones for very cheap along with deals from carrier.Samsung has no advantage in US over Chinese firms without their extensive deals with carrier .

The chinese mobile phones you get in India are special variants made for lndia. The chinese mobile phone ,especially the likes of huwaei was in premium class for upper end model,both in design and specs .
Iphone is the no.1 cellphone because it's simply the best phone,it has superior tech,that's why people buy iphone. Huawei was ahead of S series by Samsung ,it was the sole real competitor to apple with their kirin chip and other industry-leading features.

You are basically busting your *** out by claiming the obvious that xiaomi isn't preferred by premium-class phone buyers ,no shit when xiaomi never intended to be in a premium class to begin with.It's the phone made for the masses,which is the company motto of Xiaomi,same for the vivo,oppo;these phones were never made to target the premium class like apple.

Xiaomi still has some R&D to do for it to offer special technology like apple does. When it get to that lvl ,they can release a special premium line like Huawei was/is the only mobile phone from china aiming at the premium class . And it was not behind Samsung in premium section ,anywhere it was sold.

Indians can't afford top of the line Chinese brands,be it clothes from anta,lining or ev (byd,nio) or DJI or latest ThinkPads , even the chinese mobiles that people get in India,are special versions made for poorer masses,the chinese mobiles in eurozone and west are significantly higher in quality and price point,even though it's not aimed at premium class.
