Chinese scientists achieve quantum computational advantage

Bravo, this piece of code is exactly what google's experiment one years ago and got criticized as "The program, which checked the output of a random number generator, was of limited practical value and did not prove that the company’s machine could do anything useful". Do you understand what you posted? That's how they make you believe it is "fully programmable" and so awesome, when actually both can basically do nothing and almost promised like the fusion power generation in "next 50 years"?

err like crystals and mirror? Google would be happy to use them. Did you googled Google's Quantum Computer picture? Should they move to Berkley too? That's why I call your argument naive. You don't really understand what you argue.

So you persist with Q#, CIRQ, Quil, Orquestra, OpenFermion and Xanadu’s PennyLane are all just used exclusively to generate random numbers . Yeah Boy! Muricans really dumb!

Google AI Quantum team also released OpenFermion-Cirq, which is an example of a CIrq-based application that enables the near-term algorithms. OpenFermion is a platform for developing quantum algorithms for chemistry problems.
OpenFermion-Cirq extends the functionality of OpenFermion by providing routines and tools for using Cirq for compiling and composing circuits for quantum simulation algorithms.

An instance of the OpenFermion-Cirq is used to easily build quantum variational algorithms for simulating properties of molecules and complex materials.

Wait simulating properties of molecules and complex materials - is that the same as generating random numbers!

Focus on Google's "Quantum supremacy". Don't mix the start-ups didn't claim the "supremacy". BTW I liked Xanadu which also a photonic solution.
Then they did the exact second experiment on OpenFermion-Cirq with such a good name. Nice try for google indeed as I said.
Still, both are far from the real "real-world" you claimed. Why don't you post me a piece of code like simply sort numbers from 1 to 10?

Why focus on Quantum supremacy? Quantum supremacy is necessary only to justify the investment in Quantum Computing to prove conclusively that conventional computing cannot match quantum computing.
I never claimed real world - I said Google Sycamore is programmable while Pan Jianwei's experiment isn't programmable.

To prove my point I mentioned Cirq, Google's Quantum Programing Language, I mentioned OpenFermion google's Cirq library for molecule simulation.
There are similar libraries for ML and AI - but you choose to discredit all this evidence and stick to your claim of Chinese supremacy in Quantum computing.

So Google = Programable Super Conducting Quantum Processor

China = Non programable Light show with one specific application

Disproving me should be easy share with us Pan Jianwei's Quantum programming language, architecture and libraries.
Show us Pan Jianwei Quantum processor one that isn't laser, mirrors, crystals and screens.

.
Really who mocked the US in this thread - it was the Chinese. There was no reason to drag the US in this thread.
I don't have to do research to call out Chinese BS.

Most times I just ignore it - but you expect me to keep quite when my country is insulted?
It is very natural to drag US in because there are only two countries that lead in the race.

I don't see anyone mocked US. You Americans are too sensitive. Thank god you are not Chinese. Otherwise how could you survive living in a country that is mocked, smeared by US in 24/7 mode

How are the Chinese going to miniaturize the light show experiment again?

Why don't you show how massive the Sycamore is and show the real pic of Pan's work in his paper?
Ok, let's forget about google's "Quantum Supremacy" if you don't like their wording. again don't make it fancy like "There are similar libraries for ML and AI". It only fits the second experiment they have carefully chosen. Very very far from any ML or AI libraries

I said indeed a nice try for "Programable". But actually, their first-time program just functions like Pan's work and you can't basically do anything more. And after upgraded to OpenFermion-Cirq and downscale the computational capacity, they're able to use on that one application?

I said what I said. You guys are crazy about the limited "programable" I value different things. You didn't set up the rules. If you really want to claim advancement, just like what I said post me a simple code of sort 10 numbers? then I don't care about computational capacity even, I'll just shut up.
How are the Chinese going to miniaturize the light show experiment again?
While checking the early posts, it's a deadlock for you.
How are you gonna sort 10 numbers first? and then we talk about solving "Real-world" problems.

Lol what are talking about every thread has some one trying their hardest to bash the US. I don't see how most of you haven't noticed. As well as the Chinese on here always belittling the Indians, but anyways I see this as a lab experiment. That in the future can help Chinese advancement in quantum computing. However, IBM and Google as well as other companies like Honeywell already have and lease their quantum computing systems. They are both heavily investing in scaling up and fix stability issues. One experiment won't change their lead.

"some one trying their hardest to bash the US" I saw the opposite too. And plus in real-world media, it's only one way that the US bash China for everything. So I can see why they are so obsessed about it.
"They are both heavily investing in scaling up and fix stability issues" good for them, so first any one of them just beat the speed of Pan's work then they'll just shut up.

@shanlung bro, careful. You'll get banned.
o_O o_Oo_O

For telling the truth and nothing but the truth?:D
Such as Morrison angry at the truth in that peejure of Aussie about to slit the kid throat?:D

But but I not good at telling lies. 🤔

Perhaps I need to apply to skool of Pompeo or Indian skool to learn how to tell lies.

Your light show is working at room temperature while the Google one is working at negative 50?lol,each have advantages and disadvantages but dismissing one as a light show is naive.

Look I don't care what the media says they all have there own agenda. Chinese, Indian, Russian, and American media all have their own agenda and I seen each and every one of them have blantly bias or wrong reporting so it's not one sided

Well I don't doubt Pan's ability, but IBM is hoping by 2023 to have fully commercialized quantum computers. Google won't be far behind either.

It's okay to laugh, just don't go claiming we are threat and ban Pan 5 years later. Oooo no, we definitely don't know photonics, we are stupid only. The world's only operational quantum network is created by this stupid person Pan, he also created the first quantum sat, such a stupid person.

Since there many ethnic Chinese in US. You should know Chinese are usually not aggressive and sarcastic kind of people unless they are offended. You can't hope a warm smile from others while you have a cold poker face. Change yourself first.

As for Chinese attitude to Indians, don't judging others unless you have same experience living with an annoying neighbour like India.
