Chinese PLA Colonel: Doklam was a humiliating defeat for China, PRC caved in to Indian pressure

He's retired, not holding office.

Indian withdrew, not Chinese. No official words from India or China on halting construction.

Why did u change the title?
He worked in PLA General Staff department. What he said matters a million times more than what a nobody like you said.
China stopped road construction not India. There is no official word on China resuming construction.

Why are you in denial?

Why do you need to delude yourself? It's stated in the article.

"Yue Gang, a retired colonel in the PLA’s General Staff Department."

Yes, China stop road construction because Indian troops were there. Now, China won't resume either until after BRICS summit or next year.

India could still claim victory after China build the road by declaring that since China was delayed in building the road, India win.

. . .
This was indeed humilating defeat for China. I agree with the Chinese colonel.

Q: Could you tell us that how many Chinese soldiers are still deployed at the Dong Lang area?

A: This is a very specific question. What I can tell you is that The Chinese border troops continue with their patrols and stationing in the Dong Lang area. China will adjust and deploy its military resources in accordance with the need of guarding the border and the situation on the ground.

"We will make an overall assessment of the weather conditions and all related factors, and according to the actual circumstances complete construction plans for the Dong Lang (Doklam) area," spokesperson Hua Chunying told a daily news briefing.

Sure you can come in again, but please don't run this time. Stay on for the fun to begin.

Most likely will resume after winter, I think they are giving Modi some face saving exit since he is going to Beijing to kowtow.

When we resume, their media will actually accused us of going against the 'agreement' and you will hear some rhetoric. Looking at their MEA's muted response, I am betting they know better than the general populace. You can see Modi Mania propaganda fired up now, just google and 99% are Indian news, all claiming victory.

India should claim victory. They always look at the silver lining. And find partial facts to declare complete victory.

Even British colonialization of India is an Indian victory as it created India. So they rightly should be a positive people in all circumstances. They have a whole country gifted to them that should never be in existence. Everything else is just cream on the top.

As reality sinks in , the Cheeni war monger's butt hurt will only rise .

In these trying times of hurts and burns in Cheen , Indian made Cheap Burnol has very good export potential for Cheeni markets. Let's make some dough.

Despite the fact that china may still build a road, I think they were too soft in dealing with the situation. I haven't read the article but it wouldn't surprise me if I see a Chinese criticizing the way they dealt with it. India's response was out of proportion and it would have been neutralized likewise. You just gave India what they wanted and it was to show the world they can stand up against China.

. .
So, Indian Army fled the battlefield with their tail between their legs and somehow that's China's defeat? Indian logic.

. .
FMPRC never said they will continue building the road, infact they said it depends on factors/situation/circumstances etc:rofl:
There's no point arguing with these trolls. Same BS on every thread.
Here's what to expect: "No you are wrong. Poor dirty Indians with murderer Chai Wala Modi were beaten by the thermonuclear rocks and rods of the martial race Chinese. We are patrolling the area again, like we were 2 months ago before we got kicked out. So India is humiliated. 1962. Shupa powa.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: "
:hitwall:

as per inside leaks, Xi and Modi both agreed to tone down when they met on the sideline of G20. Thus the NSA level talks happened, followed by border standoff release. Its nice to see two future powers acting maturely, both knowing the consequence of fighting a long war in their own backyard
What made this stand off a different one was.... The rhetoric from Chinese side.... Which was very unusual.... Especially their media was replicating what Indian media is known to do...

Actually both nations were matured enough to handle this.... Even the events were choreographed nicely..... Both had exit paths and could drive their own versions with conviction....

It's good that China complied with our order to stop the road construction and deescalated the stand-off, but they could have saved themselves the utter humiliation only if they stopped their hysteria sooner.

We will miss those hourly warnings though, it's going to be boring news now.
