What's new

Chinese - MengShi 4x4 Military jeep

. . .
Should I let you guys confer?
I was wrong. India did purchase it, while Canada financed the exchange difference.

EDIT: The total cost of the project was $ 17 mil, of which Canada provided a foreign aid of $ 9.5 mil. India paid the rest and that included labour/material cost, cost of freight, insurance etc.

It looks nothing like a hummer.

It looks like a Humvee. it does! Here's what a Humvee looks like.....

Even the rear view mirror is the same as also those hooks on the bonnet!! The Americans should be flattered or probably fuming! :taz:

Dont you see the differences?

The squared headlights, "C" shaped embossing on the doors instead of "X" embossing on US made humvees, the extra headlamps cluster, the frontgrill, the winch etc - all patented by China!!

ps: omg! the threads on the tires are also the same!!!

.
Why is that whenever chinese makes a new product, it ends up looking like someone already has done it before. The Chinese establishment is pumping billions of dollars into R&D. Why not make a revolutionary design suiting to china's need. Afterall money and talent is not an excuse for china any more.

the vehicle looks awesome just like the humvee.
is it available in the civillian market?

.
^^^

Now come on guys, we all know what it is but let's not make childish comments. At least they're making more advanced systems than we are. It's their business anyway. And to the Chinese guys, we'd appreciate it if you kept our nukes out of this thread.

The company which makes the civilian version of Hummer, not the military (Humvee) version. That company is still owned by US.

funny thing is that india is atleast 30 years behind china's military in terms of weapons quality, defense industry, integration, etc.

literally every indian militray equipment is imported from a foreign nation, they arent even upto the level of reverse engineering.
a very primitive nation.

no wonder the only war between china and india had the same result of a war between israel and palestine.
india was totally outclassed.

i think that war really stings indians to this day, it was a good ol' whooping.

china is vastly superior to india in economy, military, politics, technology, companies, own industries, sports, information and culture.

when india can make their own equipment, then lets talk, until then, india is just a footnote in this world.
