I am tire of all these trolling, back to topic

The EQ2050 Mengshi (also known as Dongfeng Armour or Dongfeng Hanma) is the 1.5 tonne capacity, four-wheel drive troop/cargo carrier truck developed and built by Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM). The vehicle was based on the General Motors High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) with some minor modifications. According to Chinese media reports, the military version EQ2050 with 100% Chinese-made parts passed the design finalisation trial by the PLA in December 2006.

During the 1988 Beijing Defence Exhibition, AM General demonstrated an example of its M998 4x4 high-mobility multirole wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) to the PLA. The vehicle was reportedly left in China after the exhibition closed for further test and evaluation. Initially the PLA did not show much interest due to the vehicle’s high unit price and maintenance costs, but this attitude was somehow changed after the 1991 Operation Desert Storm, when the HMMWV gained high publicity in front of press cameras.....

The first photo on post #1 is from the official website of DRB-HICOM Defence Technology of Malaysia. HICOM is obviously having a licenced assembly line in Malaysia for making Dongfeng Mengshi HUMV for Malaysian army. Indonesia and other ASEAN countries (except Vietnam for obvious reason) will be very interested in acquiring this vehicle. Mengshi is cheaper than HMMWV while has better performance due to reduced weight by using high grade aluminium parts.

Per Sinodefence.com:-
"The vehicle is available in seven variants all sharing the same chassis, with four basic hull designs (soft-top, hard-top, truck, and van) and two powerplant configurations (license built Cummins EQB150-20 110kW/2,700R turbo-charged diesel or imported GM 6.5 litre V8 turbo-charged diesel).

The EQ2050 has a maximum road speed of 130km/h. The vehicle has a 5-speed gear box and a 2-speed transfer box. It is four-wheel drive with independent suspensions and central inflating system. Optional equipment include air conditioning, GPS, night vision equipment, vehicle-mounted radio, electronic winch, and multipurpose weapon mount."

The "Mengshi (Warriors)" exhibited superiority in loading capacity and oil consumption, and are well-matched with Humvee in three other indices, Huang was quoted as saying.

During the six years that it took Dongfeng Motor to develop the vehicle, the automaker conducted more than 200,000 hours of factory tests and more than 1.6 million kilometers of road tests before mass production.

The vehicle was formally turned over to the People's Liberation Army in 2007.

"Mengshi" has also passed various environmental and geological tests, including airdropping, high altitude and extreme heat and cold weather conditions.

Dongfeng came up with 75 patents in order to meet the military requirements for the 1.5-ton high mobility vehicle, said Huang.

like a INASA that dissapoints, like 20 year howitzer procurement program, a 40 year light fighter program, having to import tank ammunition because the ones you have are defective, like calling everything in sight indigenous while they're 50%+ foreign made.

There's got to be more, someone take over.

Hmm, a constructive advice from a country still using a cheap "knockoff of AK-47" insas as their army's standard assualt rifles?
Btw, nobody beat Indians in regards as the international laughing stock, here is the proof:

WASHINGTON: It's an Internet myth that has taken on a life of its own. No matter how often you slay this phony legend, it keeps popping up again like some hydra-headed beast.

But on Monday, the Indian government itself consecrated the oft-circulated fiction as fact in Parliament, possibly laying itself open to a breach of privilege. By relaying to Rajya Sabha members (as reported in The Times of India) a host of unsubstantiated and inflated figures about Indian professionals in US, the government also made a laughing stock of itself. :partay:

. . .
indians still havent got over the J-20.
with every new equipment the chinese military gets, china is getting closer to the US military power and extending the lead over the indian military.

u can laugh all u want, but in a war between china and india today, india would be lucky to last 5 days.
even the australian military can beat india.

I can simply say u gone out of mind...

.
There's more on other stuff but I can't be asked.

Thanks for showing shortcommings of India..

But my advice would remain same...;)

Tell me it wouldn't be embarassing for Chinese government to promote these rip offs as whole world sees China as next Super Power... What message it will give to developing countries those take inspiration from China...

RIP to Originality and Creativity....
