There is absolutely nothing unsafe about women walking by themselves at night in my hometown. Women go to bars and clubs late at night all the time. Crime rate, including sexual assaults, are at an all time low thanks to CCTV surveillance in recent years.

First video is from a pakistani. I watched here and she is saying that she can walk safe in China and nobody would pass comments on her but in Pakistan if a woman walks alone then she gets cat called and how chinese boys are loyal and love their women etc. etc.

Bottom line is that indians and pakistanis are too similar than they care to admit.

THere is no concept of a civic community in india. Community in india comes from caste but indian civic spaces in urban areas are shared by all castes so for most indians the other guy is like a foreigner and if the other person is a woman she is more like a commodity unless her identity is established- this creates insecurity and hostility including both rape and also unnecessary apprehension of being raped.

Indian upper castes are generally comfortable in a setting where they can get away with raping or showing hostility to others . That is possible in villages where living spaces are seggregated by caste groupings. But not possible in cities this creates paranoia in some.

stop bullshitting. Indians you see abroad are quite nice. I have to say I am yet to see a threatening Indian here while most of them are nerds and a bit weird but being FOBs that's normal. Pakistanis, Arabs etc. on the other hand are ultra conservative and you can hardly deal with them individually. One Arab guy I know was literally talking about stoning women.

It's just jealousy. If Chinese are Caucasian the Indians would be jumping and rejoicing that India is Lucky to be situated beside such powerful white neighbor. But in this universe, Indians view Chinese similar to their untouchables.

The biggest victim of this border conflict would be the untouchables in India. As the high caste Indians would treat troop death in the hands of Chinese similar to a high caste India got murdered by an untouchable. So Indian government would take it out on its low caste people. Especially the NE Indians.

China should protect NE Indians for humanitarian reasons. As Indians would start its payback against Chinese by going after NE Indians.
