I wondered if you are using the QWERTY keyboard then how come you make typo of S with B since there is a considerable distance between the two letters and If you used alphabetic keyboard still S and B are at large distance..so the only option left that you believe "what you bow so you shall you reap" but funny enough that you replaced the "reap" with "return" :lol::lol:

Orange Line Metro Train to be constructed on BOT basis
The 27-km-long Lahore Orange Line Metro Train would be constructed on build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis while work on this mega project would be started by end of July 2015, official sources said on Monday.

A consortium of Chinese firms in collaboration with the Metro Bus Authority and the Punjab government will complete the project worth Rs 165 billion.

This project would be executed on BOT basis and the Chinese firms would run it for a period of 25 years. The Chinese hired the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for the construction of track and other related works.

It is pertinent to mention here that it is also the largest project of mass transit in the country in which China is going to invest a huge amount on BOT basis.

The project is part of the metro network in the city and when completed, it will connect Raiwind, Multan Road, Mcleod Road, Lahore Junction Railway Station and the Grand Trunk Road. It will be the first line of the Lahore Metro, which is country’s first mass rapid transit train system. It would also be financed and developed by the Chinese government.

The corridor would be capable of accommodating two trains running both up and down the track, ferrying up to 30,000 passengers per hour.

The project will run on a 27.1 kilometre track, of which 25.4 kilometres will be elevated. The service will initially benefit around 250,000 passengers a day and this capacity will be increased to 500,000 passengers daily by 2025.

Not even loan but on BOT basis, this is such a non issue to begin with. This mean punjab government will not pay back loan but Chinese company will recover investment on it's own.

Yes i posted that on my Page it's according to Deputy Chief of Mission Chinese Embassy Zhao Lijian that Orange line is Under CPEC even Quetta Mass Transit is under CPEC now

So if Deputy Chief of Mission Chinese Embassy Zhao LIjian is saying something and You are saying something . who you wan't me to believe ?

Just one innocent question as the team supposedly comprised Bureaucrats and Ministers who were going on official visit to China so they atleast would be holding Official passport if not Diplomatic passport and there is no Chinese visa requirement for Pakistani Official Passport holders. So whom should I believe?

. Some people in the contigent are contractors or from outside with green passport so a whole case is built and applied. Nevertheless this news is false. And should be ignored.

The Population of Lahore may be 500 million. but the orange line have a design capacity of 250,000 passengers per day at a speed of 80 km/hour.

while In case of Greater Peshawar circular train Project, You are talking about a track serving Population of 4 districts at train speed of 220 km/hour.

So yes. I WAS comparing Oranges with Apples.

Pakistan and China on Thursday signed the framework agreement on Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif signed the agreement from Pakistan side at a ceremony which was also witnessed by President Mamnoon Hussain and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The 27 kilometre long elevated mass transit project in Lahore is aimed to facilitate commuters' movement in the city.

During his meeting with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the fourth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), President Mamnoon said Pakistan highly values its relations with China which are unparalleled in the contemporary era of inter-state relations.

He said that the multifaceted strategic partnership between Pakistan and China with increased focus on economic and trade ties would usher in a new era of socio-economic progress and prosperity for the people of both countries and the region.

Mamnoon reiterated that strengthening and deepening friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy, and added that there exists across-the-board political and public agreement on maintaining strong equation with China.

Giving details of the meeting, Press Secretary to the President Saba Mohsin Raza said the two leaders held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The spokesperson said the two leaders agreed on further cementing bilateral cooperation encompassing all areas including energy, trade and investment, infrastructure development and people-to-people contacts.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction on the current state of China Pakistan Economic corridor project and urged for expeditious completion of the already identified and mutually agreed projects of the Economic corridor on fast track basis.

President Mamnoon invited President Xi Jinping to visit Pakistan and said that the people of his country were anxiously looking forward to his first state visit this year.

Those present during the meeting included Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Special Assistant to PM Syed Tariq Fatemi, Secretary Foreign affairs Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khalid.

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Tuesday cleared the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project costing Rs165.20 billion, and referred it to Ecnec for final approval.

The project envisages construction of 27.1km long dedicated signal-free corridor for train mass transit system in Lahore.

Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, who chaired the CDWP meeting, asked the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) which will execute the

project to ensure completion of the mega project in 27 months.

The corridor will be capable of accommodating two trains running on both ways with design capacity of the system at 30,000 passengers per hour.

The orange line metro train is being financed by the Punjab from its own resources with a concessional loan from the Chinese government.


Iqbal laid emphasis on transfer of technology for building the indigenous capacity to construct such mass transit system by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company.

He said that it will be a landmark mass transit project for the poor and the middle class to commute with world class facilities at an affordable fare.

The Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) has released the first tranche of the Rs165 billion soft loan for the Orange Line Metro Train project, The Express Tribune learnt on Wednesday.

OLMT project steering committee chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassaan said that the first installment of Rs34 billion had been transferred to the bank account of the China Railways – China North Industries (CR-NORINCO), the China-based contractor for the project. He said the funds would now be moved to Pakistan government’s account with the Exim Bank from where they could be transferred to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA).

The polices of federal government has brewed a lot of hate for Punjab in KP. You'll feel it when you visit anyone of KP cities these days or meet the locals. It's not going to end up well for the federation in long term.
