Doubt it.

However, China is a signatory of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This gives the children of parents separated across state borders in peacetime certain rights. It may not even be necessary for the Pakistani government to intervene diplomatically to invoke them but I imagine it could help. I don't know if the spouses will see each other again but at least it can be argued in Chinese courts that the kids have the right to see their detained parent.

On a serious note, this is why cross-border marriages should not be encouraged. They are very unstable due to external factors, if not internal ones, and the offspring face many difficulties that children of other homogenous families don't have to experience. Is it really worth the hassle?
