Both USA and Japan realize China will have the military power to force the issue before 2020, so they are stepping up the provocation to trigger war earlier to their advantage. But China is applying a mix of military might and diplomacy:Diaoyu Island belongs to China. Japanese are only stirring trouble on behalf of western interests.
At the end of the day only Japan will lose the most.
Last year we intimidated Vietnam and India to stop them from overtly joining USA and Japan in an anti-China bloc. Philippines was too stupid to heed our warning so we grabbed Scarborough Shoal from their attempt to control it. They are still crying and whining about it.
USA tried to pull Myanmar from our orbit but so far they came up empty-handed
Most importantly, yesterday China finalized our strategic alliance with Russia. USA and Japan are becoming isolated. When the time comes for all out East Asia war ~2020 it will be quick and decisive.
China bond with Russia keeps the peace: Xi | South China Morning PostOn the political front, the two countries pledged to support each other in defending territorial sovereignty, and to oppose overthrowing the legitimate governments of other countries. They also opposed excessive expansion of anti-ballistic defences by a single nation or group.
In his remarks at the international relations institute, Xi said both nations would take care of each others' concerns. "We will not become a threat to each other," Xi said.
He called on nations to drop the "cold-war mentality" and refrain from interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries.
Xi also met Russia's State Duma chairman Sergei Naryshkin and became the first Chinese president to visit Russia's defence ministry.
Ni Lexiong , director of the sea power and defence policy research institute at Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, said the visit to the defence ministry indicated that the countries may step up military co-operation in response to close ties between the US and Japan.
