What's new

Chinese citizens attacked in Karachi’s Saddar area, one killed:

As far as I know, China doesnt accept dual citizenship, the original report from pakistan claimed that these persons under attack are both pakistani and chinese nationals, thats a contradiction.

There are Chinese that have settled in Karachi decades ago and they are mostly in the business of dentistry.

We can blame lumber #1 all we want but the fact is people themselves are lowlife sellout who will do anything for a small payment. Lumber#1 can’t fix the whole country. Fact is journey of number #1 to lumber #1 is the courtesy of this rotten society. After all they have to Recruit from same rotten lot.

You are lucky Talibans did not kidnap your family and married your women off. Do say thanks to Pakistan army …
At least even Talibans don't betray their country like our army generals did. What's actually lucky is that Pakistan even exist with such an army, but it won't for long. The trajectory of this country is quite clear.

.
CPEC is failed project, these killing of Chinese people on Pakistani soil is last nail in coffin

Pakistan needs to deploy 500,000 Rangers to stop petty crimes very inefficient

Most of security is vested around red zone or to setup containers in Islamabad, I doubt this group can protect any Chinese if they can't protect Pakistani public

Clearly there are groups active in Sindh specially Karachi to target Chinese people

Chinese should summon Bajwa to inquire about the killings and any future funding

He like to go to USA for similar Summoning on queue

A Chinese national was shot dead and two others were injured on Wednesday afternoon after an unidentified assailant opened fire inside a dental clinic in Karachi’s Saddar area, a police official said.

Speaking at the scene of the crime, SSP South Asad Raza told reporters that one person was killed and two people were injured who were shifted to a hospital for treatment. He confirmed that the three were Chinese people.

According to the official, the assailant, in his early 30s, was clad in trousers and a blue shirt. He entered the clinic pretending to be a patient and opened fire, Raza told Dawn.com.

In a press release issued afterwards, the police identified the victims as 25-year-old RonilD Raimond Chaw (sic), 72-year-old Margrade and 74-year-old Richard.
It said that the victims had been running the dental clinic for a long period of time and didn’t have any threat.

Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed told Dawn.com that a man with bullet wounds was brought dead to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital.

Dr Syed said that two others — a man and a woman — were taken to the Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre in an injured state.

The police surgeon said that the condition of both the injured foreigners was critical as they have suffered bullet wounds in their abdomen.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the killing, according to a spokesperson.

The CM sought a detailed report from the Karachi Additional IGP. Shah also ordered the immediate arrest of the attackers and observed that such incidents were not tolerable, according to the official statement.

This incident is the latest in the recent spate of attacks on Chinese nationals in the country. In April, three Chinese nationals were killed in a suicide attack outside the University of Karachi’s (KU) Confucius Institute.

Comparatively speaking, Pakistan is safer than USA.

.
Summon Bajwa to Beijing , and scold him about the killing he likes this type of treatment from USA, he will enjoy the trip to Beijing

Most of Pakistani Security was busy giving VIP protocol to Maryem Safdar and her Petty Jeep driving guy

They don't have capacity to protect people , not in Karachi and of course Chinese folks visiting Karachi

Call Bajwa and Demand , how can you protect the trucks passing thru from Pirates , Robbers and killers if you can't protect Chinese people or Pakistani people

Hold him accountable for the deaths

With the 3rd class courts and security in Pakistan , all Chinese containers will be stolen by Pirates and sold in the local flea markets as they do with Shipping containers stolen from sea ports

There are countless shops in Pakistan which sell , goods bought from Sea Containers god knows if these were stolen containers or what but they sell it by KG the goods not per item

By BLA with the help of indian RAW.
RAW is not number one remember. It is ISI . It is failure of ISI to thwart these attacks.
BLA is a designated terrorist entity by UN. The reason we don't support BLA is not to legitimize terrorism. We apply same yardstick for Kashmir terrorist groups -- which unfortunately as you know Pakistan consider as freedom fighters. But when it come to local resistant groups you apply different yardstick for BLA. So, when your narrative is inconsistent how can you effectively counter it. If you are trying to come out of FATF grey list you have to get your act together.

According to the U.S. State Department’s Country Reports
on Terrorism 2019 (released in June 2020), Pakistan has
“continued to serve as a safe haven for certain regionally
focused terrorist groups,” and has “allowed groups targeting
Afghanistan ... as well as groups targeting India ... to
operate from its territory” (emphasis added). The
Department noted “modest steps” taken by Pakistan’s
government to counter terrorism financing and to “restrain”
some India-focused militant groups following an early 2019
terrorist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. It assessed,
however, that “Islamabad has yet to take decisive actions
against India- and Afghanistan-focused militants,” and that
“progress on the most difficult aspects of its 2015 National
Action Plan to counter terrorism remains unfulfilled—
specifically its pledge to dismantle all terrorist
organizations without delay and discrimination.” On the
topic of “terrorist safe havens,” the Department concluded
that Pakistan’s government and military “acted
inconsistently with respect to terrorist safe havens
throughout the country. Authorities did not take sufficient
action to stop certain terrorist groups and individuals from
openly operating in the country.”

There is no like for like comparison of BLA and Kashmir.
Few India sponsored terrorist guerilla groups in Balochistan can't equate with the whole state of Kashmir who wants a freedom from India. A dispute which is oldest on the earth.

Both Chinese dentists are stable 70+ age and out of danger. They are born in Pakistan but get Chinese citizenship because their parents being Chinese.
The person who dies was their assistant who also had a dual citizenship despite being born in Pakistan.

Police need to look at it from robbery or street crime angle as well.
As a kid I frequently visited these "Chinese' dentists and they were amazing.
