We had no spat of anything of any sort since our independence and we both amicably resolved the border marking there and then. When there are brotherly relations between China and Pakistan then what kind of bowing are U referring to? Have theirs or our troops ever crossed each others borders and occupied each other lands? We have such a high level of trust between each other that U wud hardly find any example of. Now apply this to India and look around U and tell me who has bowed to China even just recently. Well whenever we hear word "Desh" we exactly know where is it originating from and we are giving them a piece of mind And U have seen how free our media is as anyone can come on air and give his/her peace of mind but still we would never mind being flooded by Chinese as we still are having the cheapest labor and we have lots of them. Nonetheless Chinese are carrying out each project as JV which brings in precious FDI home so if in case of India these JVs are good so why bad in case of Pakistan?

Why does China feel threatened when it already has its own missiles on its side of the border?

This is seriously illogical.

In fact, since they already have missiles on the Tibetan plateau side, it will only make it rational to have missiles in our bordering states so that there is a real balance.

After all it is just for self-defence.

None of your concern, says Indian Army after China's warning over deployment of BrahMos missile in Arunachal!

Delhi: After China's warning against deployment of BrahMos missile in Arunachal Pradesh, the Army has said that how India addresses its security concerns should not be anybody else's concerns.

"Our threat perceptions and security concerns are our own, and how we address these by deploying assets on our territory should be no one else's concern," top sources in the Army was quoted by NDTV as saying.

China has warned that deployment of a special version of the BrahMos cruise missile in the Northeast would have 'negative influence' on stability along the border.

The official publication of People’s Liberation Army, PLA Daily, has said that the deployment of the supersonic cruise missiles could lead to counter-measures by China.

“India deploying supersonic missiles on the border has exceeded its own needs for self-defense and poses a serious threat to China’s Tibet and Yunnan provinces,” the commentary said.

“Deploying BrahMos missiles is bound to increase competitiveness and confrontation in Sino-Indian relations and bring a negative influence to stability of the region,” it added.

Further, it said that BrahMos missile “could increase suddenness and effectivity of attacks”, including “crushing blows on time-sensitive targets like missile launchers and solid targets like command centres”.

Moreover, the commentary by an expert from the PLA Navy’s engineering university also said that the missile’s “penetration capabilities” poses a threat to China’s border regions.

However, it maintained that the BrahMos missile’s range “cannot threaten China’s deep zones”.

On August 03, the government had sanctioned induction of additional BrahMos supersonic missiles, with steep dive capability and 290 km range, to be deployed in the Eastern sector to ramp up its capabilities along the border with China.

Defence sources had said that the government has cleared the fourth BrahMos regiment at a cost of over Rs 4,300 crore, as per PTI.

The regiment consists of around 100 missiles, five mobile autonomous launchers on 12x12 heavy-duty trucks and a mobile command post, among other hardware and software, sources had said.

The missile was under test by the Army and last known test of the missile in the Eastern sector was done in May, 2015.

The steep-dive attack cruise missile can hit enemy targets hidden in the shadows of mountains.

The Indian Army has already inducted three regiments of BrahMos in its arsenal. All are equipped with Block-III version of the missile.

The land-attack version of BrahMos has been operational in the Indian Army since 2007.

The fire-and-forget BrahMos has the capability to take on surface-based targets by flying a combined hi-lo trajectory, thus evading enemy air defence systems. Fire-and-forget missiles do not need further guidance after launch.

BrahMos is a stealth supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land and has been inducted in all the three services.

It's very amusing to see how the Indian media has managed to turn a non-story into a pseudo event that deserves follow-ups. All I was able to find in the Chinese media was a very brief paragraph (quoting Indian media) about Indian plan to deplooy Brahmos missiles close to the line of actual control. That was the extent of it.

Chinese military analysts regard Indian military deployment along LAC as posturing. That's why China has only two brigades in the entire Tibet region in additon to a number of People/ Armed Police border patrol regiments. India already has an 8 to ! numerical advantage along LAC. China is not losing any sleep over it, the reason being China's far superior ability to rush in rapid reenforcements whenever there is a need for them.
