If something is good we just take it, that's also part of our culture, do you use western calendar yourself? How about numbers invented by Indians? modern clothing is convenient, westerners don't wear what they used to wear 100 years ago either.

These are global things...And Pakistanis do understand the Hijri calendar...we have all our festivals based on the hijri calendar!

I can safely say I have interacted with more than 100 Chinese - from mainland, Taiwan, HK, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia ...and I can see the stark difference between the ones from mainland China and the ones living in other countries!

And in hostel I came to know that there was a North / South divide...I had 5 Chinese mates in my apartment out 8 rooms! So yes I got to know a bit up front...When you live with the people you see a very different part as compared to working with them or meeting them at parties!

Chinese are not common in Pakistan...I have met some (sadly not good ones)...But out of Pakistan I have met good ones
