China’s ‘soft’ imperialism: Will Pakistan gain nothing from CPEC?

ISLAMABAD:
Minister of Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo on Thursday apprised the Senate that Pakistan had signed a 40-year agreement with China for the operation of Gwadar port.
During the question and answer session, the minister said under the agreement, China would carry out all development work on the port.

“As per the concession agreement, China Overseas Port Holding Company has a 91% share in the gross revenue of terminal and marine operations and 85% share in gross revenue from operations of the free zone,” he said. “Provinces have no share in revenue collection as per the current constitution.”
Meanwhile, Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan said Rs1,500 million had been allocated under the Public Sector Development Programme for fiscal year 2015-16.

China should destroy whatever is left of non existent, inefficent, cartel type of industries in Pakistan and create a new era of Chinese style economy.
The only model to follow is Chinese. The way these people build up cities and infrastructure at fraction of cost is just outclass.

Why and how would China build your economy? Only you can build your economy. China is in Pakistan for Chinese benefits, not because of brotherhood. Sure Pakistan gains something out of it too, but in the end- only Pakistan can build it's future.That is the truth. Stop dreaming brother.

They are so concerned Pakistan is being used by China, will not gain a thing from this important project, will be saddled with huge debts. China is there to destroy our Iron Buddy's economy. India has lost. It has been humiliated by CPEC. Sidelined and totally ignored. All it can do is cry like a loser and beg China to stop development and progress in Pakistan. Too bad for India. Whilst occupied Kashmir is suffering due to conflict and bloodshed, Gilgit Baltistan is flourishing due to Chinese investment and development. This is called sour grapes.

You have to understand the inferior and insecure Indian psyche. When the Brits ruled over India they instilled inferiority complex into these people. Indians worship anything white. Indians did not fight against tyranny and colonialism. They embraced tyranny and colonialism. They were taught to self loath. Gandhi taught them to embrace cowardice. It is part of their history and culture. You should read about British colonial rule of India. You'll get an idea where this extreme level of cowardice stems from.

So what's wrong with connection our best friend into our economic development system together? We have a good track record with it comes to working and cooperating with Pakistan and looking back in the history we can see help from each other countries is very often selfless and sincere. How is the track record between India an Pakistan? Whatever India does or says has just one purpose, just like this one, hurting Pakistan.

The irony is that the more India cries about Pakistan China friendship and cooperation the stronger it will get. The Indians haven't understood this relationship at all.

Pakistan's Gwadar port leased to Chinese company for 40 years

ISLAMABAD: A state-run Chinese company will handle the operations of Pakistan's strategic Gwadar port for a period of 40 years, the government said today.

Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo said the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) would carry out all the development work on the port on the Arabian Sea.

The COPHC has 91 per cent share of revenue collection from gross revenue of terminal and marine operations and 85 per cent share from gross revenue of free zone operation, he was quoted as saying by The Nation.

The provinces have no share in revenue collection as per the constitution.

Gwadar forms the southern Pakistan hub of the USD 57 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) infrastructure and energy project that Beijing announced in 2014.

Last year, Pakistan welcomed the first large shipment of Chinese goods at Gwadar, where the COPHC took over operations in 2013. It plans to eventually handle 300 million to 400 million tonnes of cargo a year.

It also aims to develop seafood processing plants in a nearby free trade zone sprawled over 2,281 acres.

The route through Gwadar offers China its shortest path to the oil-rich Middle East, Africa, and most of the Western hemisphere, besides promising to open up remote, landlocked Xinjiang.

amount of *PROFIT* generate from that particular company or etc goes to companies having xyz% relatively
IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TAXES . it is bad that country money goes out of country but there is more taxes on it when transferring money between countries and also we getting jobs we are getting our taxes we getting our share (taxes)
$5 billion are those which will going to generate(taxes on cargo ships(gwadar is already an duty free port so please there will be no profit generate from gwadar in duties )) by passing oil and gases from gwadar to china and for those cargo which comes from africa arab europe middle east will generate more profit(taxes)
in our constitution province does not collect revenue it generate but it is given when country budget is release
