OH MY GOD, WIKIPEDIA IS RACIST WEBSITE BY CALLING African Americans as BLACK AMERICANS.

.
What's racist about that word? It's a reduction of the phrase Cheen ki log. Idk why they make such a big deal out of it.

Nothing racist about the word.

There is nothing racist about black Indians. You are what you are.

.
China wants Pakistan rich and strong, some may say that China just wants a strong Pakistan to be against India, other say cause we regard Pakistan as a brotherly country with authentic goodwill, for whatever reasons, that's very obvious that we want Pakistan strong and powerful. What do Indian want for Pakistan? and with that evil mind towards Pakistan Indians want Pakistan to listen to their "objective" analysis. Are you kidding me..

China now is an economic power house with her might being able to reach far and wide globally, Pakistan may build up some debt but China will be able to deal with when it becomes bad, China will never never let Pakistan fall, strategically or whatever other reasons, we can't afford to let Pakistan fall ,and we can together build the country up, now we are more confident than any other time in the history.

China is building CPEC because of brotherly love? One belt one road is out of brotherly love for so many countries? Please refrain from the crowd pleasing, and try to be more objective.

.
Tell that to your Black Indian friend here, he's complaining BLACK is racist word. But Chinky is a racist word if you look it up on wiki, even the Scottish Executive agrees. Your BLACK INDIAN pal here thinks we are using racist words, the irony when he uses the word Chinky :disagree:

I think we know our language more than you and can say with certainty it isnt a racist word.

Some may say this, some may say that, but whatever reason doesn't matter, that's the thing we want to make happen is for sure.

I can use the same logic, we know the SINO-PK project better than you Indians. If we say both countries benefit then what justification do you Hindus have to claim Pakistan is only building up loads of debt and that the project will hurt Pakistan very badly but benefit only China?

.
Tell us this, why India tries so hard to sabotage CPEC , if this project serves the purpose to bankrupt and destroy Pakistan as so many Indian "experts" claim, isn't that serving right into India's hand and India should be so happy to support it. The logic doesn't seem right here..

Islamabad went back on its oft-repeated position policy on tax immunity. Only this month, it withdrew tax exemptions worth Rs100 billion (US$945 million) with the aim of bringing its budget deficit down.
Its very sad indeed that even some of our brilliant minds don't acknowledge there's something wrong with CPEC.
Notice how the sudden cries about Trade deficit after CPEC.
It's because of brilliant minds in the Government that decide to give tax exemptions to the Chinese investors in a time we're seriously being hit by our national Microeconomics.
We need to realize that chinese came to us and we were too soft on them whereas the Chinese are doing everything they can to take their advantages as the post #1points out ,Everything from local industry is being sidelined with workers and engineers from china then how do we expect ourselves to compete with the modern world when the mismanagement is on such a magnanimous scale.

China may put South Asia on road to debt trap - The Economic Times

NEW DELHI: China’s grandiose global connectivity initiative -- One Belt One Road (OBOR) or Belt & Road Initiative (linking
China with Europe via SE Asia & C Asia through land & sea links) -- which is set to receive a formal endorsement at the May 14-15 international meet has the potential to cause adverse economic implications for countries in South Asia as is reflected in the situation in Sri Lankan that has run into a huge debt trap by welcoming Chinese-funded projects.

While the Lankan PM is expected to attend OBOR among 28 other leaders from across the continents, Colombo is running up huge financial losses owing to high interest rates charged by Chinese lenders for the mega infrastructure projects which will now be part of OBOR. Pakistan is no better either as the huge sum of over $50 billion for China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor can spell doom for an already faltering Pakistani economy.

Debts are turning into equity and finally ownership for Chinese firms that will not only adversely impact Sri Lankan and Pakistani economies but also create security implications for India due to China’s constant presence in the periphery. This has major lessons for Bangladesh and
Nepal where China has assured to invest billions.

While Bangladesh is skipping the OBOR meet, Nepal has downgraded its participation at the meet from the level of President to Deputy PM.

Sri Lanka’s growing economic engagement with China has generated concern among scholars and policymakers. China has provided
Sri Lanka with over $5 billion between 1971 and 2012, and most of this has gone into infrastructure development, with China investing $1 billion into a deep-water port at Hambantota and billions into the Mattala Airport, a new railway and the Colombo port city project.

As a country emerging from civil war, infrastructure is crucial in facilitating Sri Lanka’s trade and foreign investment sectors. The World Bank forecasts that Sri Lanka’s GDP is likely to grow from 3.9% in 2016 to around 5% in 2017.

Sri Lanka has borrowed billions of dollars from China to build domestic infrastructure. The country’s estimated national debt is $64.9 billion, of which $8 billion is owed to China -- this can be attributed to the high interest rate on Chinese loans. For the
Hambantota port project, Sri Lanka borrowed $301 million from China with an interest rate of 6.3%, while the interest rates on soft loans from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are only 0.25-3%. Interest rates of India’s Line of Credit to the neighbouring countries are as low as 1%, or even less, in some cases. Sri Lanka is facing debt crisis or ‘debt trap’ as some scholars describe it.

Sri Lanka is currently unable to pay off its debt to China because of its slow economic growth. To resolve its debt crisis, the Sri Lankan government has agreed to convert its debt into equity. This may lead to Chinese ownership of the projects finally.

The Lankan decision allowing Chinese firms 80% of the total share and a 99-year lease of Hambantota port caused public outrage and violent protests in Sri Lanka. In addition, Chinese firms have been given operating and managing control of Mattala Airport, built with Chinese loans of $300-400 million, because the Sri Lankan government is unable to bear the annual expenses of $100-200 million.

ET View: Protect Self Interest
India must consider the impact of the one belt one road initiative by China to safeguard its interests. It should work to build relationships with the relevant countries to protect Indian interests.

That means New Delhi needs to proactively work on building partnerships in the region. It must also engage with China to ensure that this initiative doesn’t become inimical to our interests.
