China’s 2nd Type 055 large destroyer enters naval service

.
What is US counter Strategy to Type 55? any Cruiser US plans to field with same tonnage?

. .
It is no exaggeration to claim the Type 055 is the most powerful warship that exists today. The Zumwalt class is a failed concept that's why the US cancelled the 29 orders after only finishing 3 models. Anyone who thinks the Ticonderoga is the equivalent to the 055 needs to see a doctor. Type 45 and Horizon class cannot be considered equally matched to 055 either based on the amount of firepower this destroyer/cruiser has. Who knows if the 055A will be armed with the railgun, guess we will find out after a couple of years.

It is not a failure concept. The interesting fact is that Zumwalt failures were created by the American media system.

1 The United States tried to exaggerate the Type-055 threat, claiming that the Type-055 was a cruiser because it was> 10,000 tons, but the Americans tried to avoid applying this logic to Zumwalt.
Zumwalt is very dangerous because it is stealthy, can bombard enemy coasts, can also strike enemies with long-range missiles, it is also anti-submarine and has anti-aircraft capabilities.

2. Zumwalt's construction cost was not ridiculously expensive (several billion USD each) and Zumwalt's Shell was very cheap, but the US media claimed it was up to 1 million USD per one.

3. During the development of Zumwalt, the United States gained a lot of experience and created a lot of new technologies that are applicable to future generations of warships.

Sure. Zumwalt is not a failed project. The Americans have other plans. Not coincidentally, they are trying to deceive the world, downplaying Zumwalt's capacity with so much negative information.

. .
The United States has 9,400 vertical launch units.China currently has 2,500 vertical launch units.
It is almost OK for China to double to 5000.

do you have any info about the US new warship plan?and how good does it compare to type 055?

What a beauty - probably the most destructive thing gliding the oceans now. I think 055A is also in development, does some PLA watchers have any recent info on 055A?

055A has rail gun due to huge power provided by the engines, also more VLS cells, displacement fully loaded is expected to be close to 15,000 tons
