Religion in China is not allowed doing politics, justice, education. Country more than religion, religious should be services country .
Some people put religion above the law, they will be banned.
China has its own religious system, Avoid foreigners interfering in China's affairs ,
So Western countries says China have no freedom of religion ,
So Vatican protest China ，China does not need the Vatican to lead the Chinese Catholic

I want to ask you for your opinion as a son from a Christian. What is your impression? Of course Vantican cannot do anything to China, but VN is smaller, while the ratio of Christian/non-Christian is higher than China (around 5-8%) so their voice can do a certain effect on VN.

Christianity wont change indigenous cultures as much as Islam does. My family's female members are all Christians but they still don't oppose ancestral worshiping, etc. Not sure about those newly minted Christians, lol, because my family was Christian since Qing Dynasty.

Islam used to mix with Chinese cultures very well too, their mosques were all traditional Chinese styled buildings, and used Chinese scholars to interpret Koran. Nowadays, all newly built mosques are Arabic style, lol. Sad. Those Chinese Muslims also only listen to Arabic scholars. Not sure what's wrong.

I am Christian too and Christian generally think differently from many PRC non Christian. Christian like to repent and introspect. PRC like to 天大地大我最大，死不认错。

Christian fear God, but non Christian fear no one.

As the son of a Christian, I respect my mother, and his faith. Religion is one of her spiritual sustenance, I encouraged her to go to church regularly participate in various activities held at the church. I will give her Christmas greetings.

The loyalty of Christian is to God and not to government. So the government will find a lot more resistance from Christian than atheist when the policy contradict Bible, even though the Christian may not be very observing.
