BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- People from all walks of life in Japan are welcome to make positive moves to improve China-Japan relations, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.

Qin Gang made the remarks at a daily news briefing when asked to respond to Japanese politicians' visits to China.

Governor of Tokyo Prefecture Yoichi Masuzoe visited Beijing from April 24 to 26 at the invitation of Beijing Mayor Wang Anshun.

It is reported that Masahiko Komura, vice president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party plans to visit China.

"China's stance on developing China-Japan relations is consistent and clear," Qin said, noting that China urges Japan to push forward bilateral relations on the basis of the four China-Japan political documents, in the spirit of taking history as a mirror to guide the future.

Qin said Japan should take practical actions to eliminate obstacles to improving bilateral ties, and return the bilateral relationship back to the track of development.

Don't know any problem between Japanese and Chinese both ese people.

We play the cat and mouse game, the later we got, the stronger we got.

China's future prosperity is way more important than the desire to revenge for the past resentment.

Yes, once we become a developed country, even America won't want to challenge us, let alone their vassal states.

AV country, Plastic Surgery country and tea boiled egg province are too pro west, we need to teach them a lesson. Only Asians can save themselves, don't worship and depend on the west.

AV country should do something to improve our relations.

Yes, right now a war with Japan, even though we can win 100%, but it would still weaken our development. This is what the US wants to see.

We don't trust Japan, but they are now running out of breath and wanna take a break, then we will respect their wish.

The later, the better for us.

We always want the long term benefit over the short term heroic act.

Our biggest advantage is the time, since the time is on our side, whereas both USA and Japan cannot afford to play this waiting game with us.

However, they are both running out of breath, so all they can do is to watch painfully how China is growing even stronger than ever.

A Japan that is pro-China is an asset for China. If the grip of the (Western-influenced) media and the bureaucracy on people can be broken, the Japanese will surely elect a more pro-China leader, just like that did with Hatoyama, who desired to turn Japan to China and have more normal relations with the US.

The rest of the story is clear: Japanese Western-fed press-titude launched a smear campaign to him and Obama himself behaved very undiplomatically and uncivilly toward him. Surely, the Japanese war-time, US-installed bureaucracy which allows Okinawa to serve as a brothel for US steroid tin-heads did not hesitate to decapitate their own national leader merely a year into his presidency.

Hatoyama was elected after 50 years of LDP rule because he promised better relations with China. People (majority) do want all the issues to be sorted with China and live and prosper together as two Asian nations with deep common cultural, lingusitic and economic ties. The problem is US-installed agent provocateurs and the reactionary bureaucracy and media.

While dealing with Japan the hard way in the East China Sea, China can also deal with Tokyo the soft way by mobilizing the pro-China segment in the society -- the US does that; it always finds allies and occupy from inside. Simply look at Venezuela, if the US did not have strong internal sympathy (in quality if not in quantity) would that eb able to destabilize Venezuela as it does today.

China does not not need a destabilized Japan; it need a pro-China government in Japan and the dynamics to enable this might be there.

A pro-China Japan is not bad for us, and we expected them to be back in 2010.

A free trade zone in East Asia and the currency trade exempts from the dollar, and it is always better for us than a war with Japan.

If Japan now wants to remake their choice, then the door is still opened for them.

I wish Chairman Mao did respond to the calls of ideological solidarity from the Communist Party of Japan in the 60s. You know how the US-Japan Treaty was passed? There was a historic protest in Tokyo with hundreds and thousands gathering together and the government in fact staged a civilian-coup d'etat and passed the agreement at night when the Diet was not in official session and all the opposition was not present.

There is an underlying anti-US and pro-Asian sentiment remaining in the Japanese society -- you cannot simply erase hundreds of years of deep cultural, political and economic influence. If China cannot mobilize soft power in Japan where it has so many assets, where else can it?

Historical issues must be sorted out, Chinese rightful claims for war crimes must be fully recognized by Japan and the territorial issues must be solved in a way that both sides benefit. A Japan that is not a forward military base for the US is no longer a threat to China. What makes Japan a liability is the presence of the US. So, China may at the same time think of ways to remove the US rapists and low-lives from the area. Then Japan will in time come to the hold of China as equal minor partner.

Beijing can promote a pan-Asian ideology, which once India had, as well, under the leadership of China. Non-militaristic pan-Asianism has remained strong in Japan, as well.

Regardless of Sino-Japanese relations, we must become FAR stronger than them. This is a cruel world and the weak will always suffer.

Who would have thought that Japan, which has its culture, DNA and society originating in China, would commit such horrific crimes against us?

Better safe than sorry. Our economic and military might must ALWAYS be several times more than theirs.

Chinese people are generally very forgiven.

See how many Han people have been slaughtered by the Mongolians and Manchus in the past, but today they all identify themselves as Chinese, so all the unpleasant past is now gone.

We don't want Japan to erase their national identity and to assimilate into China, but if they can apologize for what they have done to China in the past, the we can still be friends and to build up a prosperous Asia together in the future.
