China warns India over invite to Dalai Lama to Buddhist meet

Wrong, we're crying and complain Dalai Lama to comfort India's sorrow about CPEC, at least India can find a little hope and dignity...so we get even...fair deal :P

Of course we want to make India feel that it's doing the right thing otherwise India will keep bugging China over CPEC which is more annoying :tsk:.
Good to know china has no issues with Dalai lama.. It seems Everybody else knows it apart from some posters from Pakistan who are hoping or rather want India and China fight.

BEIJING: China on Monday warned India not to go against its "core concerns" to avoid "disruption" in bilateral ties after New Delhi invited the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama to an international Buddhist seminar in Bihar.

"In recent days the Indian side, in total disregard of China's stern representation and strong opposition, insisted on inviting the 14th Dalai Lama to attend the international conference on Buddhism held by the Indian government," foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying told reporters here.

"China is strongly dissatisfied and firmly opposed to it," she said.

"We urge the Indian side to clearly see the anti-China splittist nature of the Dalai group and honour its commitment on Tibet and related questions, respect China's core concerns and avoid China-India relations from being further disrupted and undermined," she said.

The 81-year-old Dalai Lama inaugurated an international seminar on Buddhismon March 17 in Rajgir in Bihar's Nalanda district, about 100 km from the capital Patna.

Buddhist monks and scholars from various countries participated in the seminar 'Buddhism in 21st Century'.

Earlier this month, China had objected+ to India permitting+ the Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh which it regards as Southern Tibet.

China is strongly opposed to the Dalai Lama visiting disputed areas, foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang had said.

"China's position on eastern section of China-India border dispute is consistent and clear. The Dalai clique has long been engaging in anti-China separatist activities and its record on the border question is not that good," he had said.

China views the Nobel Peace laureate, who fled into exile in India after a failed uprising against Chinese rule in 1959, as a dangerous separatist.

China in the past held talks with him for reconciliation after he fled from Tibet. But no such talks were held after President Xi Jinping took over as the new leader in 2012 and Beijing kept pressure on various countries not to host him.

India is really playing dangerous here...Even child can see that they are roughly and irritatingly provoking China...China even didn't leave obama over dalai lama issue...I wonder who is handling China's policy in India foreign ministry...must be jerk of nth level.

China should mind its own god damn business and stop dictating what it cannot enforce. I am sick to death of the CCP whining like a parrot - harping the same thing over and over and over and over again.

No sir, let them keep it and be happy while we enjoy "Tawang". :)

Lol you enjoy Tawang when you guys are constantly worry not to get drinking water from China...living with concern and worry is kind of Indian's enjoyment.

This must really bug the chinese with even the european and american govts kowtowing to the chinese on this issue.
Basically India is single handedly keeping the free tibet torch burning.
In many towns of India , Tibetan communities are a established feature. Very peaceful , no trouble type of ppl.

Of course exile Tibetans are very peaceful because India government 's subsidy to well feed and well cloth them while millions of Indian are living in misery and starvation, you guys are so generous to do Tibetan such favor.

You are wrong .Many ppl are born troublemakers like the valley in kashmir . We have a saying in hindi " y does he cry ? his face is like that ". Means some ppl will always be victims or crybabies whatever the circumstances. Many egs on this site. A lot of chinese and pakistanis are western citizens , enjoying freedom and facilities unavailable in their countries. But they are always busy bad mouthing their adopted countries. Ungrateful gits.

Graceful to a country that is hostile to your homeland...that sounds retard to me.

Thats exactly what i said, what did china do in 71,atleast the americans sent the 7th fleet :-)

We're busy with US of rebalancing the power in Asia which make we're today. And China just got out of cultural revolution so we couldn't help much neither.
