China Unveils FC-31; Brief Analysis of Possible Buyer(s)

Can someone please explain what they meant by first flight and fully operational? If that is true then FC-31 won't be available until 2024. Or, this is a sign that Chinese Navy/Air force is buying?

If the prototype we saw several years ago was merely a tech demo. The project is not yet officially started.

First flight mean The First Aircraft that will be fully operational after testing etc... After first flight There will be more jets that will roll out the production line so it'll be fully Functional jet and have proper squads

everyone knew that J-31 will fly in 2024 nothing new it's in testing phase right now

That project is already started they didn't made that for Fun it's in testing phase so many changes will be done to make it fully operational and full fill the need and make it competitive

I see. Thank you. I am a bit dubious about Shenyang but then Turkey and South Korea are even more risky. At least CAC has J-20 experience to rely on. FC-31 does not have to be better than J-20. Just make it reasonably advanced, compatible with new weapons, and at an affordable price.

No way!

The FC-31 is way way way better than the JF-17 will ever be。

There is ABSOLUTELY no comparison between the FC-31 and the last iteration of the JF-17。
a radar can detect j-31 or fc-31?

. .
Those reasons being...? I don't think subsystems will be an issue at all, due to the modularity of the program as well as the number of Chinese vendors producing them.

You have specifications and/or blueprints of the respective AESA radars or subsystems?

Now all you need to do is to back your claims up with authoritative data and/or blueprints. :D
if you read my previous posts it will explain.

None of your prior posts did, unfortunately.
ok here it is. firstly no-one can get blueprints for radar systems, so dont bother asking, my argument is that western tech is superior to Chinese tech, for now. this is based on experience. a good example being comparing the ylc-2 to the tps-77. what would you buy?

If neither of us can access blueprints, how can you say that one is "superior" to the other?

Russia cant make a $hit about fancy electronic gadgets, and Japan can````but would you pick a Japanese weapon in a case of serious war?

western tech is only superior to Chinese to some extend```but in terms of building 5th gen fighters we are no doubt in the elite club```and those outsiders wont get anything core and latest from America, China or Russia

developing a state of art aeroplane is not assembling a smart phone kid```you have so much to learn
