Another delusional member who doesnt understands what business/finance is. Lol So according to your logic welcoming a head of state and treating a host warmly is being subsevient? Lool I have seen me some funny logic in this forum. Lol. You do know that China is still behind many countries in investing in the U.K right? Lol

India emerges as third largest FDI source for U.K.: The Hindu - Mobile edition

UK emerges as largest FDI investor to Inda among all G20 countries - The Times of India

As i said your view is very outdated and even surprising. Since even india invests more in U.K than China, so that means we are also subsevient to India right(more so than China, since China is behind India in this regard)?lol. You do know we have been investing far more in your country than vice versa right? So that means you are sbsevient to us? Lol
Similarly Japan(your arch enemies) has been among your biggest investors since China opened up(you barely invest in Japan), does that means China has been and is still subsevient to Japan?lol funny logic mixing business and politics/alliances together in todays globalized world.

We are a friendly and welcoming country, and we treat our guests warmly and like making them feel at home, but you shouldn't think that our welcoming nature means we think our guests are somehow above us or whatever goes into your head. Now that will be funny. Since we also accord such warm welcoming to many other countries leaders(i can also post some pics for you to see if you want. Lol), maybe we are also subsevient to all of them.

We are not the second largest FDI stock recepient in the world for nothing(2nd only to the U.S).:agree: As far as its enriches us , improves our citizens living standards WE DONT CARE WHERE THE MONEY COMES FROM be it from China, Russia(they also invest alot here), India, U.S ,Japan or Brazil etc. its all win -win. So dont think you are special or whatever. lol

In 2013 UK received the most foreign direct investment in Europe, and second most in the world after the US| [site:name] | City A.M.

As you can see we invest heavily abroad and also receive alot of investments . Its all business, the moment you start seeing it as something else, then your are no different from some delusional islamist in middle east/sourh Asia. Lol

The 'Ties That Bind' ? UK Is The Largest Foreign Investor In The U.S. By Far

Yes we are by far the largest investor in the U.S itself, guess that makes the U.S subsevient to us. Some of you on here seem to have no idea about Great Britain and our global interests at all. :bunny:

. . .
It was a team effort.
Dont mind him. he was obviously trolling. Everybody knows the role played by the Royal Navy and our military during the war. its not something we should seek approval/debate on anymore. Only insecure countries will do that. We dont need to prove ourself to anybody, we passed that stage long ago :coffee:

The UK still remains one of the important global centers for financial activities.

Finance is actually an 'ancillary industry' to support manufacturing and production. If you have only financial services you lose prestige. In anyway local banking in major economies like China and India are rising so England won't retain a hold there for long. It'll be equal to Liechtenstein soon.

Finance and industrial production go hand in hand Sir.

. . .
They do go if both work together in an economy, only finance don't work. Especially if local financing is rising.

And it is not essential for both to be within the same country or even geographical region.

No but the problem in the past was that Britain could be a good financing partner for countries where local financing was very weak. Now that is changing Britain's money is not that well sought out. Besides, you cannot be a 'great power' only by being a great banker.

London remains a major financial center.

Make a note on this- the biggest restructuring effort in world finance is the BRICS Bank that China is trying to spearhead with other countries including India. 20 years ago I don't think CHina would have been able to make such attempt. But as of 21st century China is able to try something that Britain cannot think of doing. This should give you an idea of how the centre of gravity has been in a flux. London can continue to be a centre of finance just like Switzerland has been. But that won't indicate any real political power that Britain wants.

So noted.

Glad to see China rising. It is hoped by us Pakistanis that China may and hopefully will replace the US in each and every field. It is my genuine hope that US falls and China rises.
