BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- "Beidou highly accurate orientation and measurement technology," part of China's indigenous positioning system, has been used in training for the upcoming high-profile parade in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Major General Wang Shun told a press conference on Friday that to make the training more scientific and reasonable, parade units have been equipped with Beidou automatic time service system.

Wang, who is deputy chief of staff of Beijing Military Area Command and deputy commander of the parade, said the application of electronic parade sand model and simulation and emulation system has greatly improved the efficiency of the training.

BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's strategic missile force, the Second Artillery Forces (SAC) will display seven types of missiles in the military parade on Sept. 3, Xinhua learned from military sources.

Organized into six armament formations, the weaponry includes long-range, intermediate-range, and short-range missiles as well as conventional and nuclear missiles, said the source.

The source did not reveal the specific types of missiles, but said "the scale and number of the missiles will surpass any previous outing."

"Our missile weaponry has seen great advances, in terms of firing range, strike methods, accuracy and mobility," said the source.

A senior military official said Friday that 84 percent of armaments to be displayed in the military parade have never been viewed by the public before.

The SAC made its first public appearance on Oct. 1, 1984, when the new China celebrated the 35th anniversary of its founding. After that, it has been a popular section of every military parade.

During the National Day parade in 2009, China showcased five types of missiles, including DF31A, a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile.
What about Cruise Missiles ? I hope to see lot of new weapons in fact many sources suggest that more than 60 % weapons displayed on V-Day parade will be new ones.

To be honest, I can't wait to see the cute Chinese women soldiers in the parade.

------
I am no military expert nor do I understand all these missiles and their capabilities.

One thing for sure, after looking at them, I wouldn't want to provoke the dragon unnecessarily.

Not like some neighbors. Do you agree, @opruh ?

Thanks for Sharing the pics, bro @cnleio

I am Really Falling in love with Type 99A2 MBT.
This is Chinese Tank Monster That Can Beat Leopard 2A7 MBT and M1A3 Abrams MBT !!

Hope Indonesian Army (TNI Angkatan Darat) Buy this Monster.

It's one hell of a sexy beast with the camo. :cheesy: Unfortunately I have to disappoint you, the ZTZ-99 won't to exported to anywhere due to its high production costs. Indonesia can get the next best thing though, the ZTZ-96/VT-1A.

I think VT-4 MBT is a better choice, bro.
