Singapore has all that and it's fertility rate is still at 1.1.

One should first ask what exactly is the goal. To have a sustained population in the 1.4 billion range or to have it shrink down to under 1 billion?

Cuz the CCP is afraid of the people....too many people and it'll lose control.

The CCP doesn't give a damn about regular Chinese. All it cares about is control and maintaining it.

I think the goal is to bring the Chinese population below 1B, where it'll be easier to manage it.

Less population doesn't make it easier to control as the population with less competition will feel far more entitled, while a massive population would not feel the pain of significant losses even under the hands of incompetent governance. It's far more about the quality of life for future generations than anything else.

Lool 3 child policy now after 2 child policy. Lol CCP family planning officials are funny. So they are still putting restrictions on how many children people can have. Lol Goodluck with that. It's too late now anyway, Chinese people will only have less and less kids with each passing year. The time they should have abolished this silly policy(only country on earth with such a silly law) they didn't lift it and instead adopted drastic measures to enforce it which only reduced the urge for young Chinese who would have wanted to have kids to be wary of doing so or postponing it indefinitely. Now that the country is wealthy and getting wealthier every year women will obviously put off having kids and this will only increase with time. So I don't see a way out from this one to be honest . Not like the party can force women to get married, have sex and procreate lol

It was the party's own home goal to be honest. So we can only watch now and hope for the best for them. Probably the country will end up in a Japan like siuation this coming decades. As far as the whole country is already developed and wealthy then that's fine anyway, if not then it might be a drag for the economy. They will just have to deal with a stagnant/ageing population by productive in other ways.

While I do think maintining any child limits is the silliest policy China could do now but I think the issue of aging population is completely blown out of proportion.
People mention the danger of China becoming a Japan as if Japan is some sort of a poor nation! China's GDP will surpass that of the US in this decade even with the aging problem, the years after that the gap will widen, and if aging becomes an issue before China has a GDP per capita of that of a developed nation then they could always just raise the retirement age, make old people work, many of nowadays jobs anyway don't require a young person's physical and mental capabilities, all what you have to do is push a button so some machines start working and then package some stuff in a box and that's it.
