Any US naval ship that tries to intervene in the conflict, we will attack its home port. Any US warplane that tries to intervene in the conflict, we will attack its airbase. Very likely this will include US bases in Ryukyu Islands, Japan, South Korea and Guam.

China certainly has the capability to do so and people who think that some F16V will help them need their heads checked. Arrogance of some people here is astounding which is the same arrogance Indians showed until we shoved an SD10 up the hole of SU30. People who degrade chinese tech should be aware that JF THUNDER armed with same tech (Not even top of the line) took Russian Sukhois for Suhaag Raat mid air .

People need to know that Indian SU30s were superior in every sense to our F16s and Jf-thunders in terms of technical superiority but that didn't help at the end of the day.

F-16V can't do shit to protect Taiwan; as long as they're parked there in that tiny island; simply because of Chinese Aegis Type Destroyer. A single Type 52D Destroyer can stay overwatch the whole sky around her and kill any Taiwanese Aircraft when they're in the immediate area. With their data-link with another Chinese assets, it's easier for the ship to cover more area of sky. And because of the size of Taiwan island, China can cover the whole area with their anti air radar with many of their space, air, sea assets. So, with that kind of radar covered area, no F-16V can even fly safely and do some shit. Because they have to survived a barrage of Chinese Surface to Air missiles first. Before to do some damage to any Chinese assets.

But, China has more than one Type 052D, and even better, a Type 055. So with those powerful anti air warships surround Taiwan, what can Taiwanese air assets can do some shit in the battlefield? Their best bet, without any outside helper is Hseung Feng AShM from the land. But still pointless, unless the 7th Fleet come to break the siege from the sea with their aircraft carrier Groups.
