Actually as a Hindu i wanted to let it go. Our Parliament set a bad precedence by advocating for Gita. This decision will one day come back to bite us in the a** when some Koran or Bible is desecrated or banned in some other parts of the world and minority groups will demand the same action that they meted out for Gita.

SL , i like to belieev is a responsible state. If they killed Prabhakarans 12yr old son and caused HR violations I dont support that and they acted irresposibly. If they did that, what is the difference between tigers and govt of SL ??

IMO India should assist SL tamils to get their separate EELAM , Issue citizenship for Hindus and Sikhs frm Pakistan and BD. Those people fully depends upon India.

How about just making the Lankan Govt honor its commitments (13th Amendment whch involves wide ranging devolution of powers to Tamil areas under the SL constitution and bringing to book the war criminals) and lay the road to genuine re-conciliation ?

First I am not a brahmin, But yes i agree with the fact that the brahmins are treated here badly and i am against that(Violence), but this is happening because of their opposition against using Tamil Language in Temples for Mantra. But No-one is asking for separation here in Tamil Nadu

13th Amendment is the same as what was promised in Indo-Lankan Accord of 1987, but you know who derailed it..yes the LTTE. Now its sad that after 25 years and sacrificing thousands of Indian & Sri Lankan lives we are back to square one.

Anyways SL it seems is not to keen to implement the 13 th Amendment.

Any Sri Lankans do not say to Tamils or any ethnic to go away, only thing we are saying respect to country you're living give support the the development. Tamils are not the only ethnic who live in SL.
