A carrier group launches a wave of aircraft, China detects the launch, the subs surface, extend out their radars, and launch supersonic SAM missiles. This would force the attack in, but that would be covered by land SAMs and land anti-ship missiles, and aircraft. And be vulnerable to a naval battle.

The sub battles to protect the precious SAM subs would be one disadvantage. Which is why you would need 5 classes of subs each filling a different role.

In essence, guerrilla warfare is the only thing your land forces have done, but here you are, talking about a force-on-force encounter on the water against a navy that for 100 yrs led the world on technology and tactics.
