China Says Navy Ship Hits Rocks In Disputed Waters

If they were surveying the area since the 13th century, they would know by now where the rocks are.

Check your dictionary what is meaning of shoal, it is not big rock.

Shoal and sand bars can change over time in shape and depth due to ocean current, monsoon, typhoon etc that move sand and small rocks at the sea bed.

Description of Shoal:

A shoal, sandbar (or just bar in context), sandbank or gravelbar is a somewhat linear landform within or extending into a body of water, typically composed of sand, silt or small pebbles. A spit or sandspit is a type of shoal. Shoals are characteristically long and narrow (linear) and develop where a stream or ocean current promotes deposition of granular material, resulting in localized shallowing (shoaling) of the water. Shoals can appear in the sea, in a lake, or in a river. Alternatively a bar may separate a lake from the sea, as in the case of an ayre. They are typically composed of sand, although could be of any granular matter that the moving water has access to and is capable of shifting around (for example, soil, silt, gravel, cobble, shingle, or even boulders). The grain size of the material comprising a bar is related to the size of the waves or the strength of the currents moving the material, but the availability of material to be worked by waves and currents is also important.

Stalled Chinese Warship Taken off Disputed Shoal - ABC News

You might want to take it up with them for not following your script.

When an U.S. $1 billion missile cruiser runs aground, you anti-China clowns never say anything. When China has an accident, you anti-Chinese trolls hop up and down. Why the double standard?

There probably wouldn't be much said if this frigate grounded off of China's coast for whatever reason.

conversely, if A US sub grounded off of one of the islands that is under China's administration or a frigate grounded off of that island that belongs to Iran in the straits, the anti-American trolls would be out in force.

While not exactly similar, it is the closest comparison that could be given, because the US has no territorial disputes that match these.

The most outrages grounding should belonged to HMS Astute.

The 1.3 Billion sterling pound submarine was described by its Builders BAE as "the largest and most able attack submarine that the Royal Navy has operated, with a performance to rival any in the world". and claimed also with the world's most advance and effective sonar system.

yeah out of those all the astute definitely take the cake. western tech are overrated. the royal also navy supposed to have more experiences than any other countries too. :cheesy:

Technology can't substitute for competence

The “rescue” convoy seems to be in no hurry to provide a helping hand。。。dereliction of duty?:cheesy:

What was the captain thinking? And the chief officer? And the second officer? And...Oh well, the Chinese should send their Naval officers for training to Vietnam! No, seriously.

Worst-ever peacetime loss for Navy, frigate sinks after collision off Mumbai - Indian Express

on topic: the unlucky captains career is likely over except if the cause was something he had no control over

lol that indian frigate crashing into a big cargo ship is another level. how could that happened? it's something you can see with naked eye. worst than the astute sub that got stuck in shallow water

This is a plot, there is only 100 miles from Philippines

Just shows how China has become so aggresive and greedy lately, this 560 frigate was less than 100 kilometers or less than 60 miles from the shores of southern Palawan island when it ran aground wednesday night ...

If a Chinese navy ship accidentally hit a rock could be called "aggressive", tell me what you would call about US's invasion of so many countries, and its army killed so many innocent people? "freedom"? "democracy"? or "God's will"? So if you cannot answer these question honestly, your comment will be considered completely BS, period.
