China-Russia-Saudi Arabia: Globe's Next Superpower

It doesn't need documents it is out there. We can become self sufficient all we need is to continue the path we are in. I am sure in Iranian media KSA os downplayed it os the same here. All part of propaganda. We do not advocate Islamic extremism the US does the mere fact that we stopped this practice is evidence enough that we broke free from American Tyranny that turned our country to $hit. On our own we can not become a global super power I understand that very much. But in a regional level we have great influence. About human resources it is improving by each passing year.

Saudi Arabia is not so much discussed in the Iranian media. For now we have bigger problems like the USA and the UK and the regime of Iran is trying to talk about an Islamic bloc as a consequence of the Arab spring rather than other things. The things we read about Saudi Arabia in Iran are more focused around the Bahraini uprising. So It's more like lack of information about Saudi Arabia in Iran than being ill-informed. I hope the bold part is true. At least I hope Saudi Arabia is on this path as you say.

As you said lack of information. What I read somewhere is that satalite TV is banned from Iran along with Facebook YouTube and other forms of info is that true?

Riiight. "brother" China was poorer than India for most of last 60 years of independent history, in both per capita income and number of poors. Had a chance in 80s to apply this logic, you would have made this statement replacing India with China right?, especially considering you were then in bed with Uncle sam?

and don't know about superpower but definitely, India will take its rightful place in the world. and haters will continue to beg to everyone- West, East & to oil rich folks from Middle East.

Not sure about SA, but countries that have been and are ever keen to become a vassal state of a global power can never become anything remotely respectable.

China, despite being poorer per capita, was always superior in social indicators like literacy, life expectancy, and average calorie intake since 1950.

On the one hand as a Muslim and Pakistani I have an empathy and love for Persians and Arab people. We have intermarried with them both Arabs and Persians came to India. As a child I was taught that to truly understand Urdu you need a good knowledge of Arabic and Persian. But I am getting fed up of you guys slagging each other off. The only losers in this fight is you guys and people who wish you well.

Yes, That's true. But the penetration of satellites is high in Iran and around half of the Iranian population watch satellite TV programs and news channels like the BBC Persian and VOA Persian service are broadcasted inside Iran, although they are jammed sometimes. Most people watch satellite channels like Farsi1 and Manoto1 that broadcast international sitcoms from different parts of the globe + scientific and informative programs. So, Although it's not legal, but it's a common phenomenon.
Facebook and Youtube are blocked in Iran as well, but according to official statistics released this year around 19 million Iranians have facebook accounts, which means the censorship has failed. In fact the 2009 post-election protests were all managed through facebook, tweeter and other social networking websites.

This is bad. Our population can go directly on YouTube and bash the hell of the officials (one got arrested for bashing the ruling family but was soon released because people got pissed and they got scared) KSA enjoys the highest YouTube per captia in the world and people organize a lot of opposition on Facebook such as women's rights and Clerical opposition freely.

Sure we are not the best when it comes to freedom of speech unfortunately but still it is the best by regional level if you ask me.

I don't think Facebook is really a good indicator. There are millions of Iranian posts on Youtube and Facebook insulting Khamenei and Ahmadinejad as well + millions of Iranian forums. In fact Iran has the third largest community of bloggers on the internet and Persian is the fourth blogged language on the web.
The concept of organizing civil demonstrations on Facebook and Tweeter started by Iranian 2009 post-election protests, but I doubt that would mean anything about freedom of speech in any country.
Saying Saudi Arabia is the best by regional levels is pretty far from the reality.

That's not how it looks like. Yeah sure Iranians blog and post YouTube yet it is banned by the state. Iran has a high number of bloggers etc is due to the restrictions on the other forms of public information. I open my Satellite TV to find close to 780 channels on it from all over the world. I get everything from Chinese to Japanese to American channels. I open my laptop to check the news from Facebook and update on new videos from Saudi vloggers and serieses. I get CNN as well as CCTV(Chinese News channel). Can you say the same thing on Iran.

A question for you, Mosa. You said SA stopped supporting Islamic extremists after King Abdullah's rise to power - it seems this happened in 2005 (Fahad's death) although he seemed to have influence before that (when?).

However, I have read that most of the Sunni extremists who blew up bombs killing hundreds and thousands of civilians in Iraq crossed the border from Saudi Arabia. If not government supported, then does it mean SA cannot control its borders ? Did Abdullah stop this ?

Those who cross the border can never return her and their names blacklisted. There are people here who encite people to go fight the American invaders and those are persecuted by law. A couple of months ago they caught a netowrk of these guys and were sent to prison to serve 25 years of prison. Does that sound like supporting?? A huuuge fence is being built between KSA and Iraq to stop it from coming both ways.

Well, I got around 1000 or even more satellite channels on my TV. If I want to access Facebook I can easily do that using a VPN account which is pretty easy to obtain these days. I know other methods too though. like SSH tunneling or using softwares like ultrasurf that has become very slow in Iran these days. Censorship is no problem in my opinion, because I'm one of those that believes censorship is necessary for Iran. We need to fight back with the propaganda machine of the west, but we can't do that directly. So, for now the best way is to censor the western propaganda when necessary. Why should we let them spread their lies about us in our state?
I personally read many newspapers, but I see so much misinformation on them. I don't think it's really necessary to let this propaganda have a higher impact on Iranian society. About Youtube, I believe we should have smarter ways to censor Youtube. Youtube right now is fully blocked. I believe we should distinguish between informative data on Youtube like videos posted by MIT, Harvard, Stanford and other top US universities and videos that are really useless. You can see so much hatred on youtube videos. It's almost impossible to go to youtube and don't face rude comments by the people.
In general, if 19 million Iranians are on fb that means they can access it. That's actually a very high number if you ask me. Moreover we have many, more than thousands of Iranian social networks and forums that are not blocked and can be accessed.
About the number of Iranian bloggers, Facebook and Youtube weren't blocked earlier than 2005 if I'm not mistaken. Iran has had one of the world's largest number of bloggers since late 1990's.

Censorship is never the answer the most thing we censor is **** and not politics. Again my point here is "Nothing" should be censored except ****.

And why **** should be censored?
