China, Russia back India on UN terror resolution targeting Pakistan!

.
This has already been discussed, and it was pretty much acknowledged by most people that this is nothing more than sensationalism. The resolution has nothing to do with Pakistan, as China would automatically block it if it was. This resolution was against terror in general, and even Pakistan will probably support it.

The Indians who are chest-trumpeting should at-least bother to read what the hell is this "Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism". I am sure even Miss Swaraj herself does not know much about it hence her fact-twisting press release.

Please go to the page 3, point#10, which reads:

"The Ministers reiterated that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations committed by whomever, wherever, and for whatever purposes, is a threat to international peace and security, a grave violation of human rights and a crime against humanity. The Ministers affirmed the need for all countries to join efforts in combating terrorism under the auspices of the United Nations, in accordance with the UN Charter and principles and norms of international law and for the robust implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. They called for early conclusion of negotiations on the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. The Ministers reiterated that there can be no ideological, religious, political, racial, ethnic, or any other justification for acts of terrorism. They underlined the need to bring to justice perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of terrorist acts. Highly alarmed by the new trends in international terrorist acts, the Ministers emphasized the need to step up information gathering and sharing, prevent the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICTs) for the purposes of recruitment and incitement to commit terrorist acts, as well as for the financing, planning and preparation of their activities, block the channels of terrorist movement and financing of terrorism, and promote de-radicalization, while respecting international law".

Now that is all that is said and agreed upon and no sane person would disagree with the contents. Similarly, no sane person would automatically assume that this is Pakistan -specific for there is no mention of Pakistan here. When it comes to support terror, India will also not be spared for her support for Sindhoo Desh, BLA, and TTP. India has also been supporting terror in East Pakistan and in Sri Lanka.

Pakistani media should also do little homework before forwarding tabloid stories of Indian media.

Now come on...don't make jokes...you are a religious fanatic and wannabe mullah and you accusing of Indian FM of not knowing what she is signing?

There is a limit to retardness

Yes...it may not be Pakistan specific...but all three countries are victims of cross border terrorism on their soil. China in Xnjaing, India in Kashmir and Russia in Chechnya.

But the point here is India - China relations have their own dynamics based on trade, economics and markets that are independent of China - Pakistan relations, and that may not be good for Pakistan as it is looking for pivot to tackle larger India after US abandoned Pakistan.

This "Norwegian" guy is a real troll, that is very evident by his posts. The resolution does not "target" Pakistan. This "resolution" has no negative bearing on Sino-Pak bilateral ties despite what he thinks or some journalist.
Yeah, sure I am a proud 'troll' for posting something that was reported in a reputed Pakistani Newspaper such as The Express Tribune. They sure can misreport, so please blame them for trolling, not me! :D

What about Pakistan? Isn't it a victim of terrorism itself since 9/11 terrorist attacks and even earlier than that?

LOL! US abandoned Pakistan? Since when was US even pro-Pakistan? :D If it really was for Pakistan, it shouldn't have helped Pakistan create Islamic terror groups against Soviet Union and beyond!

When I am saying "US abandoned Pakistan", I don't literally mean US abandoned Pakistan. On contrary, Obama is negotiating the congress on a $1 billion aid to Pakistan. What I mean is US may not support Pakistan vis-vis India, hence Pakistan was pinning hopes on China, and Pakistan may be in for a big shock there too.

US foreign policy has always been such, completely independent from neighboring countries. Have a look at how US deals with Middle Eastern countries. Slave-like relationship with Israel and Saudi Arabia, two completely opposite ideological states. But since their leaders are pro-US, so they don't give a damn supporting them both equally. One is mercilessly killing Palestinians, while the other is openly spreading Islamic Wahhabi terrorism around the globe!

.
Winds of change. Not the good kind, either!
Hardly sir! I don't see China ditching Pakistan.

On topic: Until past convicts are brought to justice and tough action taken against people funding these terror organizations, nothing much is going to change. We've seen US govt. banning these organizations but with sympathizers and their deep pockets, little has changed on ground. Besides i'm not sure if UN is an effective enough institute in tackling terror.

1) This is the 4th thread opened on the same topic.
2) No where did Ms.Swaraj take Pakistan's name. But if CCIT is supported by China and Russia then have no doubt , it would be against the Pakistani interests.
3) But then again I'll not take this on face value. Unless it actually happens at the UN, that both China and Russia back CCIT, till then these 're mere speculations.
IF CCIT is passed then Pakistan would 've a pitfall, the aids flowing into Pakistan would come to a stop. For its own good Pakistan must clean up its act!!

.
No China can not do that against its all whether friend Pakistan. They have reiterated the commitment to friendship last week.

NEW DELHI: China and Russia decided on Monday to back the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism (CCIT) — a resolution supported by India and heavily biased against Pakistan.

At a meeting of Russia-India-China (RIC) in Beijing, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said her counterparts from the two countries understood the need for endorsing the resolution that has been pending at the UN for nearly two decades and seeks to widen the existing definition of terrorism.

The CCIT was proposed by India in 1996 in lieu of Pakistan allegedly backing Kashmiri separatists.

In Tuesday’s meeting, the RIC communiqué vouched to oppose terrorism of all forms and called all countries to join efforts in combating terrorism together with the United Nations.

Speaking at a press conference after the RIC meeting, Swaraj told reporters: “Our discussions on terrorism brought consensus on two issues. Firstly, there can be no ideological, religious, political, racial or any other justification for the acts of terrorism and secondly the need to bring to justice perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these acts of terror.”

Swaraj added that the ministers emphasized the need to step up information gathering and sharing and prevent the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICTs) for the purposes of recruitment and incitement to commit terrorist acts.

There is no permanent allies or friends in geopolitics.Only permanent interests.
Chinese are smarbusinessmen.They know
what they are doing.
They will calculate pros and Cons,Advantages and disadvantages .
Now their aim is to competing against US and its interests. For that they need our cooperation or at least neutral attitude from us.
