Once you recovered from COVID-19, you will develop anti-body to prevent next infection. However, if the virus that infected you the next time is a mutated strain, you will get sick again.
Also, even if your body has developed antibody, your body must be able to produce enough antibody to de-activate the next virus attack. You need enough soldiers to defend against the invading enemy, if their number is many times of yours, they will over run you. Fortunately this scenario is rare.
This is a very dangerous trend if it continues, i think we need to perform more longitudinal studies with large samples for more clarity.
Criteria for discharging the quarantined COVID patients is pretty much same around the world- clinical/radiological resolution of signs and more importantly, two negative RT-PCR tests on seperate days.
If these cases are getting re-infected again without any outside contact, we will have to re-evaluate the discharge criteria too..
That is a different scenario, the issue here is that the COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals after negative RT-PCR are again demonstrating viral load on repeat PCR. This may be due to re-infection or persistence of latent infection. Though there are a few studies on the subject, they are still in a nascent stage and require further research.or the assumption that if a person doesn't show any signs of virus for 14 days then is virus free
COVID-19 = SARS + HIV
There is no cure for HIV.
Everyone will get it and everyone will die. Some early and some couple of decades later.
This is a revenge of homos on hetros. Why should only homos have HIV?
There's a cure for HIV.
It's a recent breakthrough.
For now, just two persons are being cured.
