@Nihonjin1051

Why so apologetic over a dispute that is not recognized by anyone in the world other than China?

What "in the world" are you saying?
If the Indians are not scary of losing the territory why need the Japanese' stamp which turns out the Japanese has to retreat its comment apologetically
It is a slap on the face of Indian's conspiracy.

Because contrary to what some agitators would like to believe, Japan is highly sensitive to the region -- as we are vested in growth for our partners. Both China and India are our partners. And this partnership will continue unhindered.

Not benefit Japan to meddle in the territorial disputed between India and China, this dispute haven't escalate beyond open border war after 1962, there is a better chance to settle this dispute peacefully.

You label us as Agitators? why don't you admit your FM is provocator? with his position as offical that represent Japan, he can allow himself to bullshit over some sensitive issue regarding China/India territory and think there is no consequence???

I agree with you @Steakhouse , its best that Japanese Government (in the future) to be mindful to remind any speaker regarding Sino-Indian projects -- to refrain from agitating either side, even if it is unintentional.

To sum it up, its like walking on egg shells , whenever dealing with this area (northeast India). But, as I said earlier in my posts in this thread -- I remain cautiously optimistic.

It was an unfortunate mistake on his part. As I said, official Japanese Government Position has already been forwarded to China's Foreign Ministry -- and had made a public clarification.

Let's agree to that.

We don't need anybody's approval. Its our territory because its in our possession, and possession is 9/10 of the law. If you think its yours, grow a pair and come take it away from India. Aren't you supposed to be a superpower? Why are you scared of tackling a country that's 3rd of your size and 5th of your economy? Whats the matter? No stones?

Ok fine, I will stop here, making a monkey show just to please these Indians are not my intention, I already express my opinion over your FM statement and this is should be enough for me.

You are say otherwise but its looking obvious to every one,you are trying hard dude.:-)

LMAO

The official stand of the Japan government that count. If Japan government reject FM statement, shouldn't be an issue after the clarification.

Absolutely. And the fact that the Japanese Government not only rejected the statement of Kishida , but also reiterated to the Chinese Foreign Ministry that Japan remains stern on its non-interventionist policy -- as per the 1978 Sino-Japanese Treaty of Peace and Friendship -- is testament to Japan's emphasis of peace.

Diplomats, like all humans, make mistakes. The same way as how US Vice Prisident Joe Biden -- also makes mistakes in his overseas speeches (which then later are clarified by official US Government's Position).

Really why we need to rush to take what is belong to us when your gorverment is so paranoid over our intention, we rather enjoy this tormented dispute, no matter how you list the external support to help to validate your territory claim, you have already lost your cause when we hold you by the ball with the water that why your gorverment have to crawl to the negociation table, dare you try to defy us by saying "NO"...
