China rail giant wins first overseas deal after merger -- from India

What technology to send orbiter to Mars? Do you mean NASA's deep space tracking technologies?

What software does India have that China doesn't? Do you have your own operating systems? Do you have your own application software?

Last time you tried to piggy back Russians to mars .... what happened to that every one knows .

Your space agency uses ESA deep space tracking for your moon mission and you have the audacity to make fun of others .

What software does India have that China doesn't have?
China has mainly firmware/embedded systems engineers geared towards low level software in C language and assembly for the PC gear and networking equipment you make. India has all other software like dtatbase, ERP, Java, C#. So India is much stronger in international standard software for business applications. China is stronger for device level software (like drivers) that supports its manufacturing of PCs and networking gear.

Even to make a **** website requires software. But that does not qualify china to be software giant. Even in manufacturing, China is a service provider. Not the creator nor inventor of stuff. So Please try to realize the facts and stay in reality.

15.9 billion yuan, including metro, locomotives, tramways and maintenance service.

There will be at least 800km of subways and at least 3000km of high-speed railway to be opened in China in 2016. The demostic market is huge enough plus the export!

Let's wait for the Shanghai-Kunming HSR(Guizhou section) and Hefei-Fuzhou HSR in July, I'll take some photos of CRRC's new EMUs(electric multiple unit) operating on these new lines!

It's a pretty easy question, what software does India have that China doesn't have?

They said India is far ahead of China in software so I wanted to know as I want to learn.

Southampton establishes rail link with China

The University of Southampton has signed an agreement with Chinese high-speed train manufacturer CSR Qingdao Sifang (CSR Sifang) to establish a new centre for railway research and development.

The ‘China-UK Rail Transit Technology Joint Research and Development Centre’, which also involves Imperial College London and the University of Birmingham, will undertake research to develop new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes for high-speed trains and metros.

The University of Southampton’s Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) is collaborating with CSR, which has manufactured around half of China’s entire high-speed rail fleet, on research and development into biodynamics and ride comfort, vibration and noise reduction, human factors and staff training.

We shouldn't waste time. If they like to compare Supa Powa with China, their choices. Related to this thread, pls eye on Siemens, Alstom, Kawasaki, etc. CRRC is in competition with these renowned international brands, not some small ants.

The software is called Supa Powa.
I guess you don't know this, but most of Chinese banks run on Indian software since last decade.
For example, "TCS BαNCS Core Banking Ranked China’s No. 1 Core Banking Solution in 2006 by Independent Research Firm."

Another one,

With 2,500 seats, it will be the organization’s largest development facility outside of India.

This is 2007 report, the facility is in service at the moment.

This is a tiny contract by Chinese standard and more deals of a similar nature will surely follow。

So I wish some of our over-excited Indian friends could calm down for the benefit of their general health。
