China unilaterally grounded them first, followed by other countries. If china band 737 the others will follow suit but will take some time

The crashed passenger plane was 737-800, not 737MAX. In China, 737max is still banned from flying. There were 132 people on the plane.

The plane is only six years old. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
