China, Philippines agree to safeguard peace in South China Sea

China offers to train the Armed Forces of Philippines
After aiding the Armed Forces of Philippines in their fight against the communist rebels, the PLA continues to maintain its military training invitations to the AFP despite the current dispute. Exchanges as such demonstrate the relationship between China with its neighbors in Asia is complex and not driven by a single issue.

what a bloody joke.

now you become defensive and posting offtopic.... I am not intrested in your degrees but in facts....

and a suggestion to you do your phd again.... this time more seriously so that you can really become "balance"

by viewing the quality of your post I thought a 12 year boy is posting...

facts? I provide you some:

1. indians' life expectancy is 10 years less than the Chinese.
2. india's gdp per capita is 1000 gdp, lowest in the world.
3. india's fancy software industry produce 50% of Chinese software industry's revenue.
4. the entire indian intenet backbone was build on top of Chinese products, constructed by Huawei.
5. india even had to import billions of power generators from China to supply power to its people.

want more facts? how about this:

we Chinese export mobile phone, computers to you, then import natural resources from you.

that is the difference between industralized and non-industralized.

China invites AFP for schooling | The Manila Bulletin Newspaper Online

MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has been invited by China to send some local officials for schooling in its military school, a move that could bolster relationship between the two countries amid tensions brought by the alleged intrusions at the disputed Spratlys Island.

But Commodore Jose Miguel Rodriguez, AFP spokesman, was quick to clarify that China has been sending invitations in the past only that this year’s invite is being highlighted because of the Spratlys tension.
That why, Pinoy can not have the US.'s trust:smokin:

1. If US transfer those technologies to us, we can make a good sattelite and powerful weapon also, so we can track your AC and sink her :smokin:
To operate and manufacture these assets, you need a strong industrial and economic backbone. Vietnam does not have it. It is an extremely poor country has less nominal GDP than Yunnan province, with twice the population. You might as well try to convince people Somalia can do the same.

Takes money to maintain arms kiddo. Money Viets don't have.

2.You're next to us, but 80 % of your shipping must pass throught our EEZ, so we can make trouble for your economy if you keep troubling with us :smokin:
If we engage in a naval war with you, your loss would be total. Every military assets you have will be targetted and taken out by either missile or air strike. Can't threaten anything if you can't target anything. Remember Serbia and Iraq? They had a bunch of fancy weapons too, but they were completed blinded by electronic warfare. How do you intend to fight back without eyes and ears?

3.Have you ever test with Yakhont ??if not, so we will very happy to send some Yakhont to your AC .
With the exception of range, our Moskit/Sunburn missiles are faster than the Yakhont and share similar flight profile. I guess Viets love to mouth off without taking reality into account. 1988 was just a preview of things to come.

The problem is that Vietnam cannot afford to buy the US military technology.

Even one single Arleigh Burke destroyer may cost about the entire Vietnam's defence budget.

China, on other hand, is self-sufficient in every domain, so making its own weapons cost a lot less than Vietnam purchasing the weapons from the foreign nations.

1. If US. can tranfer the tech, they will help us to manufacture also, not a big problem for mighty US.:smokin:

2.hehe, During broder war, you were cheated by many Fake target, so, we will make again many Fake targets to waste your ammunition again. But you can not make a Fake cargo ship, so, your economy will collapsed first

3.Can Moskit have low flight at 5m above the sea face like Yakhont ??why US can not engage, but chian can ??

All I hear is "Americans will give us stuff" and "Japan will help us". A sign of the weak and timid is the dependence on others. All the help in the world will not change the fact that you are a piss poor country without the means to support a modern military. Do you have a space program? No? How do you intend to operate your satellites without space program?

You can deploy as many decoys as you want, but when your ships sail out of port or your planes take off, you might as well kiss them goodbye. Also, deploying your radar to search for targets is like turning on a flashlight in the dark, and will immediately give out your location. We have a huge mineral and oil strategic reserve to allow us to fight the war for an extended period of time, while your economy is in bad shape as it is.

Moskit is a sea skimming supersonic missile, like the Yakhont. It has similar capabilities. The reason Americans did not adapt these supersonic missiles is because they are easier to identify and to shoot down. Americans navy has conducted many experiments with their own version of supersonic test vehicles. Whoever told you they can't be shot down is an idiot.

You won't be able to access oil or fish after the war. Hope the price of rice is high.

1.We small, we have No allies, we poor, but we will fight with any aggressor, asking help from India-Jaopan-US-Russia ... that the way we go.:smokin:

2.We will hire Japan-Us -Russia and even India cargo ships if they allow , so, don't shoot them , you will get more angry from them also.Remenber that : US could destroyed our air port, but could not destroyed our air force, CHina still worse than US. so you can do No thing to our jets :smokin:

3.So, how to shot the low-flying missile ??
You won't be able to access oil or fish after the war. Hope the price of rice is high.
If we can stop your cargo ships, you must stop fighting with us within 1 year, Russia is protecting our Oil rig now, kill them if you have the guts :smokin:

Like I said, enlisted foreign help is a sign of weakness and fear, not strength. Foreign cargo vessels used for the purpose of war is not protected by international law, and no country is stupid enough to get their merchant ships involved unless they intended to enter the fray. Learn your international law before making fantasy claims.

3.So, how to shot the low-flying missile ??
Never heard of fleet air defence? HQ-9, HQ-16, FL-3000N and Type 730 are all capable of engaging sea skimming targets. They're designed to do so.

What do you plan to stop our cargo ships with? Don't tell me you're going to spill that Yakhont BS again. You still haven't managed to answer how you will detect and track targets without the proper sensors.

LOL @ Russia is protecting you. Like they protected you in 1988?

Hehe, Phil boys belong to ASEAN, so we will solve the problem peacefuly, and if US say: "Stop !", Phil can not say : " No "

Watch your words mr.VN , we Pinoy don't have any problem with our neighbors, this time a conflict with China will be resolve soon, but your country Viet Nam is the most hardcore case in the game, we are upgrading our navy muscle now, we may not willing to fight with China one by one but you is not a big deal.

You must watch out your words, I know your Vietnamese are very looking down on us Filipinos because we are poorer than you, but that not mean you can express your racist sluts and showing us no respect. The American are our partners and ally brother, they are invited to help us not like what you said.

You don't have any envidence to prove that Spratly belong to you ,so, we will take it back soon. Don't forget we have ballistic missile Scud-D , that can reach to any islands on Spratly , and you have Nothing to counter our missile.

US is on our side too, they help us to enrich Uranium and to upgrade our Navy now.Return our islands and you will have 200 nautical mile EEZ base on international rules, don't waste your men's life in battle, dude :kiss3:

You realize that the Philippines is an US' ally, right? Vietnam is no more than a nascent American strategic pawn to counterbalance China. The US will come to Philippines' aid in the event of a Vietnam-Filipino war. China is on better term with Philippines than Vietnam too. If the push comes to shove, both the US and China will help Philippines over Vietnam any day...

Not to mention that Vietnam is communist state... Who would really want to help commies...? :hitwall:

Heheh, South VN was US's ally too, and every one knew what happened to South VN already, right

If both the US and China will help Philippines to Rob our islands , then US will have to contain China in ASEAN alone, Malacca will be in China's hands soon, and all of US's allies inAsian will turn to be China's allies after that.

US is far smarter than you when she decide to support VN and fullfill VN's whishes, right ??

CEO and founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg Monday is scheduled to visit an ethnic village in Ta Van in Sa Pa, a popular mountainous tourism site in northern Vietnam.

He landed in Vietnam on Thursday last week from Bangkok and reportedly stayed at the five-star Sofitel Metropole hotel in Hanoi before flying to Ha Long Bay on a chartered helicopter.

Last night, he stayed at the To Pat ecological site in Thanh Kim commune on his Sa Pa trip.

The young billionaire is also expected to visit the Silver Waterfall, 13 km west of Sa Pa, Dan Tri Newswire reported.

This Monday evening, he and his delegation are to spend the second night in Sa Pa at either the Victoria Sa Pa Hotel or the Chau Long Hotel or the Cong Doan Hotel, Dan Tri Newswire quoted Le Duc Luan, chairman of Sa Pa District People’s Committee as saying.

According to Luan, since Zuckerberg’s visit is personal, the company in charge of his trips are not authorized to provide information to the press.

Before the Ha Long Bay trip, Zuckerberg and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan were Thursday spotted visiting the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, also known as the Hanoi Hilton prison in Hanoi where American prisoners of war were held during the Vietnam War.

He was also spotted touring Hoan Kiem Lake.

The couple visited a shop selling luxury Vertu mobile phone in Hanoi on Ngo Quyen Street on Friday in Hanoi but his bodyguards prevented any access from fans.

Zuckerberg was granted a two-week entry visa into Vietnam from December 16.
