China, not America, likely behind Hafiz Saeed's house arrest

Didn't China ask Pakistan to withdraw their forces during the Kargil conflict?
Yes, but not half as direct when China asked India to withdraw their forces in 1962 "Forward policy". Do tell us what happended after.

Lol, why are you getting mad?

I was merely trying to point out that the Chinese have tended to prefer peace between India & Pakistan (at least that's their official stance) as they would like to safeguard their interests (CPEC). Even as recently as last year's confrontation:

"Since there have been tensions between India and Pakistan, China has been in communication with both the countries to exercise restraint, enhance communication and properly resolve differences" - Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Geng Sheung
http://indianexpress.com/article/in...errorism-surgical-strikes-uri-attack-3058982/

Basically, India can always count on China to counsel it's ally when the latter is in gung-ho mode.

Well post the mid 80s, they have not been very direct have they? Though we have laid out the infrastructure despite their normal protests? You know why? They Chinese only recognise strength. And what is happening is they smell weakness in Pakistan. And as usual, Pakistan needs a bid daddy. Earlier it was the US, telling it to do more. Now, its going to be China. The world moves on, Pakistan remains the same. Bend over and do their bidding, whoever giveth the money. The only time you did something out of fear, was 1971. Now shoo....go play somewhere else. Or else China will tell you to do something else.

.
If its China handwork, we should openly encourage China to be involved in Pakistan (CPEC), may be can withdraw our objection to CPEC and join it, after all if it can contain terror tap, then there is no reason for trade between all three countries.

Is there something about 1980 as cut off point - that we are not allowed to referance?

Pakistan needs a bid daddy
Well with 1,300,000,000 ocean of you guy's you bet we need to look for any equalizer we can find. If me and you had a fight and I brought 6 more guy's with me I reckon you would be looking for anything even out the odds against you.

Well, you are free to reference any. But pointed out for your reference again, that some countries change, few do not.

Well, if I were the chap who went and poked you in the eye, knowing that you had 6 more guys, I would be stupid. Especially, if I knew, that there was no need to poke you in the eye.

From a pure military perspective, we are not going to invade Pakistan anytime in the not to distant future. You have nukes and we have nukes. China did not intervene in 1999 or 71. Turkey did not help out in 1965. 1971 less said the better. Hell, the Americans were the closest to what you would call a response.

So why do you need China or the US? Against India? Rubbish.

Good. So when you propose to pull out of Kashmir?

Wrong analogy. You might poke him if you knew very well you had every reason to do that and felt you had justifiable reasons. Just because the other is bigger does not mean you lie undernath him. You do your best. Just like in real life you must face any challanges and give it 100%.

did not help
I am too old now for fighting but when I was younger I had some 'altercations' and I quicly learnt when all said and done it falls on you, your brothers and NOT your friends. In short nobody is going to fight for Pakistan but Pakistan.

The Turks, Iranian or Chinese are friends. You can expect aid, supplies etc but not fight for you. On that score Turks and Iranian's helped by loaning jets, parts fuel etc You can't ask more than that. Salute and appreciation to them for that.

And the the guns, tanks, aircraft that used to fight against you came from? USA. I guess that covers the Yanks, thank you very much. In summary friends are good for ancillary support - but fighting falls on you.

So why do you need China or the US? Against India? Rubbish.
Let's play a fun game. I will tell you what you need and you can tell me what I need?

I think once CPEC was announced whole world was saw this coming but Pakistanis.

While US had some leverage on you, they didn't have the power to impose their will on you completely. With China its different, they own stake in your stock exchange. They have loaned you an amount worth 1/5th of your entire GDP.

Albeit this spells good for India in a way but not at a cost we are willing to accept. Having Chinese troop presence on western side of the border is not something we want.

What was 'mad' about reminding you how direct the Chinese can be?

I was just referring to Chinese reaction to Kargil and how it's entirely plausible that their stance is similar regarding Hafiz Saeed. You started ranting about 1962 which has no relevance in light of the discussion.

That's why it's buttmad.

Well, why should we? Its Indian territory. You are welcome to withdraw and hand over what you control to us. And there are enough legal arguments to prove that you are the occupiers, based on dates and treaties. Do check up the relevant threads for the same. Just because, you say, its yours does not make it yours. Legally, belongs to us.

Coming to your point of Turks supporting you or Iran supporting/helping you. I would suggest you read reports written by your own officers who were sent to these country during times of war on the response from these countries. There is a thread where I have provided the articles and links on what 'help' was provided. The only chaps who have actually helped you are the Yanks. And that too is now gone.

.
Well, why should we?
Because your the one that said "countries change, few do not". I thought you might set a a good example.

Legally, belongs to us
Your the 1,300,000,000 oceanic superpower. You enjoy nearly 7:1 superiority in numbers/resources. Come and grab it, if you can. Clock is ticking since nearly 70 years.

When a person is desperate, more help always wanted but what ever you get still is to be thanked. Fact is Turks, Iranians did give help - we could have done with even more but that does not detract that help they did. Fuel, jets, fighters and even nurses were sent. Of course like I said the weapons we used were given by America.

And that too is now gone.
Times change. We have moved on. Now you can have our 'leavings'. You can suck the worn out US teat. We moved on to something fresh.

We have already a set a good example of not going down the route you went. Having numerical superiority does not mean we have a wish to eat grass like a few people we know. When we wanted the clock ticked. 1971.

On the help front, feel free to believe what you want. There are threads you can go through, which have links of reports form your own military attaches on waht fantastic help you got.

And we all know what you sucked. So the less said of it, the better.

.
Yep, it is official. The house arrest is meant to provide protection to Hafiz Saeed.

Indians celebrating prematurely as usual.

LOL at the China jibe. China has never interfered in such matters. The notion is ridiculous.

You got a newmaster dude, Gwadar is new Shmasi airbase. Karachi is new Aboattabad. heheheh

.
When we wanted the clock ticked. 1971.
No you did not. It was the Banglas who ticked that clock. You joined in afterwards. No Banglas and no amount of effort by India would have worked to get a tick.

wish to eat grass like a few people we know
Eating grass is better than starving to death with hunger - or if finding
some grass, eating it and then shatting in the open street.

And we all know what you sucked.
And we also know what you sucked up in 1962 - it was yellow colour and oozing.
