In 1962, China was superior though they had some other issues. But in 2014, situation is not the same. Guess who introduced AWACS, 4.5 gen fighters etc in the region? Do you think in 1962 situation was the same? How can you claim china can outmatch India in every aspect? When was the last time china actually fought a war? Compare that with a battle hardened force. So, it's not as outmatched as you think.

Not really. We have serious territorial disputes with 4: India, Vietnam, Phillipines, and Japan. We can make short work of all of them, because the first three are medieval 3rd world shitholes, and the latter is a quasi-colony that is way beyond its prime.

Anyway, you seem to be counting countries as if they were all equal. As if our dispute with Vietnam should weigh equally to your dispute with Pakistan, a nuclear power. You need to take your own and other capabilities into account. To illustrate:

China ($9.5T GDP) v. India, Vietnam, Phillipines, and Japan ($7.2T GDP)
India ($1.9T GDP) v. China, Pakistan ($9.7T GDP)

Hopefully outmatched, I'm afraid. You should be happy if you can even retain 1962 levels of performance, when you were warring against a country that had just emerged from 3 years of devastating drought and famine, and not the industrial superpower it is today.

'Down to 1962 level'? You mean the level that was adequate to secure a decisive victory against our southern neighbor? If so,
I could definitely live with this '1962 level'.

Anyway, there was nothing arrogant about what I said. It was a candid statement of reality. And I have no desire for China to be a superpower, or hegemon (certainly not in the fashion of a unilateral superpower like the USA), but merely that its territorial integrity and the sanctity of its internal affairs be respected. There's nothing arrogant about a request like that. Rather, it's the likes of you who keeps trying to revisit 1962 and "settle old scores". You should realize that you got off lightly then - no territorial losses, only psychological scars. So stop picking at these scars or rattling the sabre, let them heal, and move on.

Answer is simple that China is leaps and bounds ahead of India in economic as well as Military fronts. But that doesn't mean India is a walkover. Infact, in the whole Asia, even you would also agree that only India is capable to stand upto you. Be it in political/ economical or military, India is well ahead of every country in Asia barring China.

The only way forward is co-operation between the two nations. Infact, even with all the troll wars and war cries here on pdf, India and China never had any serious issues ever since 1962 and even today, our trade is among the world's top 10 trade relations.

You over estimate India here. I would say that India is ahead of everyone in s Asia. But even compare to se Asia nations. India is not more advanced. India has to shoot its superpower movie in Dubai. LOL. India in Asia di not stand out as a leader. Just a banana republic in the same class as Philippines though Philippines is more prosperous.

We were stupid in 1962. Not anymore. Modi govt's stance towards China should remove any doubts. Any nation that thinks India is still as they were in 1962 are stupid. China's arrogance and expansionist ambitions based on "history" will bring them down, just like the Romans.
