ADIZ is not recongized by the UN. The SCS is a free fly zone, every country will ignore China request. If China uses force it will be seen as an act of agression and be condemn by world leaders.

Condemnations come and go. I do not know how many times others condemned the US. China is no US, it won't send an army into other peoples' lands, but, condemnations do not really mean much to a UNSC permanent member.

Most world leaders do not even care about the SCS because they have greater worries of their own.

So you inherently agree that both China and Vietnam (and others) in fact are doing their best to protect their (claimed land)? That's fair and square. As long as you behave like a cool-headed realist and disembark from the moral high horse, we are fine. The rest is up our respective nations's capability to protect perceived interests.

Keep in mind that China's actions are so far within the purview of "respond in kind." Others had EEZ in ECS, so did China later on. Others started long before with their own island build-up, so did China. You should be really concerned only if China stops responding in kind and pushing you into responding its own moves.

You cannot tell a weapon is defensive or offensive. It is simply a matter of convenience. Besides, you cannot set all the rules. You first started island build up and development and now you are telling us what to put and what not to put on the island. And you judge our intentions.

Let me tell you, China's build up is entirely peaceful, and science and freedom-oriented.
