India were off to an abject start, losing all their three league games at the Asian Women's Rugby Sevens Championship being played at the Balewadi sports complex. The two-day event is organised by the Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and the Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU).

India opened their campaign in the tournament with a rather stiff inaugural game against defending champions China. The Chinese, immediately stamped their superiority on their smaller and lighter Indian counterparts, emerging with a comprehensive 43-0 victory.

In the next game, played after a short break, India took on Sri Lanka. The Lankans, known for playing extremely attacking and flowing rugby, were hardly troubled as they comfortably cruised to victory. The margin of victory, 36-0, was testament to the domination extended by the Sri Lankan team over India.

India's run in the league phase went from bad to worse as Kazakhstan handed them their biggest defeat of the day. The Kazakhs seemed to enjoy an advantage due to their larger sizes and strength and strolled to a very comfortable 44-0 victory.

The Indian team's performance against their higher ranked opponents left much to be wanting as the Indian team failed

to score in any of their league engagements.

With three losses out of three, India are out of the title race.

China and Kazakhstan dominated the proceedings in group A, as both won three games each. Japan and Hong Kong emerged joint leaders in group B, winning three games each.

The remaining league matches will be played on Sunday morning. The winners of both

groups will then face each other for the title.

@ Hafizzz. Souldn't you be posting this on the South Asian forum?

I thought members discussion was for somethingelse.

Not sure about the rules though.
I was referring to the behaviour of the average Indian trolls here on PDF

This is a defence forum. What do you expect?

If you want reasonable indians who don't want to abuse you, head over to the Hindu newspaper comment section. That lot are articulate and don't foam at the mouth like a lot here do.

India is now going through it's adolescence. It is insecure about it's blemishes and pointing out the blemishes will only bring retaliation.

You probably need to give it a few more decades, until Indians stop wanting to prove a point, and truly don't give a rat's what others think about it.

That's why you have a lot of Han Chinese trolls and Pakistani trolls roaming too. it's insecurity. It's the most insecure ones that tend to do the most chest thumping.

Their bravado is a mask for their wounded pride.
