I don't know where you get this information, but again, China never tries to stop Pakistan from getting aids from US, I don't know what you bring up this story for? China is never in a competition mode with anyone and never has that hegemonic mindset like the western powers.

Quite a few years ago, in a high level meeting, the Chinese wanted to know how much the US was providing in AID to Pakistan yearly with the intention to match it. When the figures were shared, our Chinese friends literally could not believe. Suffice to say that they realized they could never match the kind of aid the US provides to other countries. And this was at a time when CSF was negligible.

When the Chinese write of debt in their books, they acquire collateral which much reflect in some other ledger which either you may not have or may not have shared. The Chinese are NEVER at a loss!

I don't think that China is ever thinking they are in direct competition and will match up against US in Pakistan or any other countries. Where you get this kind story. It's not Chinese mindset to match US. Seriously, when was the last time US give any significant aid to Pakistan ?

If you can't trust the government, whom can you trust? Also, when there is a change in government, the new government can expose the lies of previous government. Isn't there an Auditor General of Pakistan?

If the debt goes higher in every year, the chances are the government is compromised. New government and old government play blame game while both are in same business. Their credibility are shot down big time.

Then you have to come up with evidence to disapprove.

It is simple. Every five year the government passes debt to the next government that is worth five times before and that continues. The government are there to pass the debt on the nation to pay the bills which means the loans are being gobbled by the governments, main establishments, rich corporations and whatnot. And the debt increases five times more which means those who collect the loans have no intention to pay the loans back.

As said before, Pakistan can get the house back in order. And it is very easy. All it takes one honest man to do so with all the resources disposable at Pakistan. But internal politics is compromised but not for long hopefully.

I can well understand your (and others) cynicism. But the general rule is, it is difficult to keep a secret in a large organization, especially when all of them are not members of the same cause, like military. It is like trying to hide the body of a large dead animal. The stink eventually gets out. If there were some really nasty stuff in the China deal, someone will find it useful politically to leak it. If Pakistan's clandestine nuke program can be described in a blow-by-blow detail, how can a deal to build Gwadar port be kept secret?

Then, your gov should stop borrowing that much esp from foreign countries, and overwhelming majority of your foreign debts come from Western countries and institutions, not China. You still have to prove what said in Pakistani gov website about Chinese loans and deals in CPEC are not true.
