Your operating of ISS are based on 50/50 assisted with Russian. Cannot be counted as independent one like Chinese. Without Russian help , ISS is not possible by US alone. Just like your Perseverance Mars Rover without RD-180 Russian Rocket engine.

Wait until your Artemis mission materialise before u brag. We know the repeat delay of American projects. It may even never materialize.

NASA launched its own space station, Skylab, almost 50 years ago and operating the ISS for the last 20+ years.

NASA will still operate on ISS, but Earth orbital space stations are old news. There’s only so much know how to gain from near earth orbital space stations and NASA has been doing it for decades.

NASA is now focusing on landing humans back on the Moon in a few years under the Artemis program. SLS for Artemis 1 is now nearly fully stacked for launch at the end of the year.

That’s not to mention what’s taking place at Starbase in Boca Chica. It’s likely we’ll both see a Starship/Super Heavy orbital launch and Artemis 1 uncrewed mission to the Moon by the end of the year.

Its called "International" space station for a reason. Go figure that out.

Lol.. ignorant statement from clueless american. Couldn't care about Russian? Your ISS core module is Russia made and in between lack of US mean to send man to space. It is the Russian Soyuz that handle all task for ISS astronaut ferry.

Deorbit the Russian core module from ISS and replace with an american one before u talk rot again.

Make sure your next Mars mission, not to used a Russian RD-180 engine again.

Btw, China don't need a SLS. We have our LM-9 which will even better than SLS. The most important YF-130 engine already tested with 5000kt power. The most powerful rocket engine ever build.

None but does it really matter. We have unrestricted access to ISS our focus is on the moon and Mars. We have plans to build a space station orbiting the moon, not for zero gravity research but as a staging site for Moon and Mars exploration.

No one can match our lift capacity, price per ton the variety of engines, KEROLOX, HydroLOX, Methane and Solid propellants. We have 3D rockets, reusable rockets , we have sent probes to the sun, the distant planets and even beyond the solar system. We are still the only ones to have sent a human to the moon. The US is still far ahead of everyone else, we have achieved much more than anyone else.China isn't going to surpass the US not because they lack the technical skill but because the Chinese lack imagination and are risk averse. Space requires a pioneering spirit, the courage to take big risks and fail. The monolithic one dimensional CPC lack the imagination the daring and most importantly the right mindset. They are in it for the bragging rights to prove they can do what the US has already done before. They will remain ever faithful followers.

What the Chinese are yapping about is inconsequential. They know their so far behind that they have to find the smallest details to poke fun at NASA. In the grand scheme of things, NASA has achieved far more than China ever has. I mean NASA has been to every planet, put man on the moon, peered into the heavens with Hubble, and sent probes to interstellar space. China just visited its first planet.

While China sends humans to low earth orbit, NASA and SpaceX are developing the rockets to send humans to the Moon(again) and Mars…….today.

Well, the US is the worlds leading power. Obviously every leading power will not be comfortable with a near peer/rising power taking over their position. Every power has always acted that way since history of mankind. It's normal. It's not about China. In fact the US did the same with Soviet Russia, they were also prudent with the Japanese when the Japanese were rising rapidly. We did the same with the Germans. In fact even the US did the same with Britain and other European powers when they set up their Monroe doctrine in their backyard that forbade any European powers at the time from encroaching on their neighbourhood. We and the French also fought many bloody wars from world supremacy back then when France wanted to challenge our monopoly/dominance on the world. Spain wanted to curtail our rise when they were the dominant power as well, and we had to fight a bloody costly war with them to be able to rise and take their position etc etc. So that's how mankind has always been. You people shouldn't read too much into it, and it has nothing to do with race or whatever, all about power and interests. Even if India or Brazil or any country for that matter rose to this point and became so powerful, they too will be subjected to the same treatment by the established power.

I don't think that was the point i was making. I don't get what bitter pill to swallow you are talking about . What China has achieved as a developing country/power is admirable and to be commended, no doubt about that. I was just saying that there was no need to bring the US in the discussion and to start claiming how ahead you guys are compared to them etc . It just invites trolling, insults , etc, which just derails the threads and takes focus away from this good topic/achievement.
Moreover, not even your space officials will claim they are ahead of the US. China still has a long way to go, but they seem to be on the right track at least and have the scientists/skills and resources necessary for achieving their goals. that's the most important. The US is an old space power and the established power at that, so they obviously have lots of advantages, one with lots of experience/skills/knowledge and a dynamic private sector, so they obviously have leads in many sectors, given their track record and the fact that they have explored almost every planet in our solar system and even sent probes beyond our known solar systems. Congrats to China for achieving this feast. Hopefully we may see Pakistani airmen visiting Chinese space station soon as I remember we signed an MoU with China over space cooperation 2 years back.

China soft power increasing by every passing year. No wonder Americans are getting vary and paranoid. Recent G7 summit was perfect example of American insecurity towards China.
