China has an advantage over the US Navy that could mean a 'decisive' defeat for US warships in a fig

Almost seems like some folks here use PDF as essentially a place to Hyper nationalist advertise.

The thing is, they’re just preaching to the choir for the most part.

I actually find some use in reading some of the CCP state sponsored propaganda posted here. For the most part, I basically assume the opposite of whatever position they take in their posts. For example, when the CCP posters here post more frequently about their wonderful advances in combating pollution, that tells us their environmental issues are getting worse.

This can provide some insight into economic, social, cultural, environmental and political trends in what is a very opaque nation. I utilize this as environmental scanning in my strategic planning process for my business.

Business Insider is a Chinese government sponsored propaganda agent? I thought it's a foreign source, I could be wrong though.

To your dismay, I don't think there are any CCP posters here and if there are, don't know why they bother to post in "Pakistan defence forum". And your logic can be applied to the more the western media is attacking China, the better it shows that China is doing.

As far as we know, there are no official CCP members here. What we have are 'wannabes' each hoping to be as CCP-like as possible. They are doing an excellent job, though.

The CCP speaks to us through some of these posters, they either re-post articles from the Global times or other approved media, there is co-ordination in their choice of topic and content.

The wannebes you refer to are a different matter, there is one in particular who seems to be under the delusion that he is the strategic commander of China's armed forces.

Oh yeah, there is a few of those around here. They speak as if they have total control of what their government does.

When in reality, they have absolutely no power at all outside of this forum.

I read an article a few weeks ago about the increase in violent behavior by Chinese children towards their parents and elders. A lack of empathy, sense of entitlement and reactive ego dominated thinking are common among young Chinese. It made me think of this particular poster, who I strongly suspect is barely past childhood himself.

The author pointed to many causes within Chinese society for this trend such as gaps in their education system. It doesn't help that the CCP is encouraging aggressive nationalism to distract the herd-like masses from some uncomfortable truths. This poster and others like him are the inevitable result.

After reading your post I couldn't help thinking that you were talking about Donald Trump.

If this kind of behaviour can make you the President of the USA it's gotta be good right? :P

It is a direct result of the one-child policy and there are plenty of observations on the issue.

Ego dominated behavior is evident in most political leaders. Trump, Putin, Kim, Assad, Xi, and countless others all have the same underlying thought processes, regardless of belief or political system.

It's definitely a factor, the little emperor syndrome. But this violent tendency seems to be a much more recent phenomenon, although statistics are impossible to access for domestic violence in China.

The US is a Third World primitive type of Navy. It should surrender immediately!

In waters close to China a big yes, I admire your courage to admit, though. It'd be better that you stay at home in America or other parts of the world.

Who are you really with those farmers' flags? Do you even have a self made missile to fight anyone? Is this a white and non-white issue?

Then it looks like our military leadership is pretty foolish. The USN is a 3rd rated navy challenging the PLAN, the premier naval power on the oceans and seas.

But never mind our foolishness for now. The US is a country. The US Navy is the military component of the country. UNTIL the USN is actually defeated in battle or deterred from engaging in battles, the SCS is open water, pal. Trolling the USN by attempting to ram our ships is not deterrence. It is exactly that -- trolling. We do not have to respond in kind. By traversing the SCS and the Taiwan Strait, the US is the greater troll, I will admit to that.

Your China can speed up the open answer of that 'until' by actually shooting at a USN ship. There is no greater declaration of claim than that of violence to contestants. It does not matter if public opinion of the US Navy is 1st or 3rd rate or somewhere in middle. By stepping into the ring, the challenger essentially ignored public opinions. It is then up to the claimant to put him down in the worst way possible -- defeat by violence.

Draw when yer ready, pardner...:enjoy:

In WW2 we always stayed well over 500 miles from Japan's coast. I'm quite sure 70 years later that has been extended.
I am not an expert on military stuff, but if your aircraft carrier stay so far from China coast, will those short range carrier based aircraft able to reach Taiwan strait?
Just asking.

Why would they be flying there? Did you ever hear of US Navy planes flying over Europe or Japan in WW2?
