China grants US$15 billion in loans to Brazil in 2016 | El Pais Brasil

15 billion US$. This's huge amount of money. I bet no other country on the earth would help Brazil so much, even the world strongest country ,US

Are you serious??? In the 1980's US banks wrote off close to $100B in loan debt owed to them by Brazil. That doesn't include the 100's of Billions loaned to them that they paid back or agreed to pay back. They did a huge amount of building/modernizing in the 1960's-1980's to pull themselves put of the third world. Something it took you guys decades more to accomplish.

For instance here is São Paulo in the 1960's as modern building have started to be put up. (BTW notice all the cars)

Look at it all today. This wasn't built with Chinese money (or architects)

Giving them a loan for $15B in 2017 is small potatoes. You are late to the party.

In the transport sector, Brazil has done a huge contribution by introducing BRTs.
Today, several hundred BRT lines are in operation or under construction in China.
At the same time, China is also providing subways and suburban trains to Brazil.

.
Well alstom has a metro cars manufacturing facility in Brazil. We had imported some from them initially for Chennai metro.

I'm not talking about history. I'm talking about NOW. Do you think US will do the same to Brazil as China does? As far as I know US itself is facing debt crisis.

Brazil is a hard-core developing country,
China's life expectancy is 1-2 years longer than Brazil's.
Healthy life expectancy 3 years
That's what i said. His teacher thought Brazil was a developed country. That's why she was misinformed.

West bank has a per capita of 1500 usd and life expectancy more than China's . So what did that prove ?

. . . . .
World Bank and WHO do not agree with you.
Pls use credible and recognised data.
No intn of getting into a pissing contest with you.
My only point is that life expectancy is not the best mark for measuring development of a society. Many countries with low per capita can have good life expectancy due to genetic reasons

are you serious, there are no genetic reasons, life expectancy increases with rise in income, healthcare, stable environment etc and a whole host of reasons. you can easily tell the difference between the life expectancy of Indian Americans who's average income is +$100k compared to those in India. are there genetic differences between those Indian Americans or those in india? i think not.

Yes, it is directly relevant.

Is that really relevant to this thread?
You can open a thread in SA section about it.
This thread is about China-Brazil cooperation, not some backwards places.

I am really shocked to hear such claim.
It must be from someone who has been living in some sh*thole for too long to assume Brazil is developed.
Brazil is not even close to many China's poorest provinces in terms of living standards, infra, health conditions, etc.

I also kindly suggest members use their original account.
Pls do not hide under a new account to make silly comments.

Actually its totally relevant wrt your video post showing Chinese Grand leader sitting in a metro and you acting as if Brazil would not exist if Great China had not provided it with a few tram cars.
Sao Paulo , Brazil had its 1st metro in 1964 while China in 1968.
