Thailand, Singapore, south Korea, and japan all of them got money poured into their country from western states for a decades. China have to openly earned their economic from scratch to now. India got money pour into their country since they slavery to Britain, but they still impoverish country. They economic now is photocopy China from A-Z, if we observation over and over their economics is copy exactly from China. From cheap labor to a peaceful rising power country. If they said they does not copy china from A-Z, we can laugh out loud now.

Thailand is still not rich. In fact it is actually only slightly richer than China with a GDP/capita PPP at 10,000 dollars as opposed to China at 9,000 dollars. With China's much faster GDP growth, in a few years the Chinese will be richer than the Thais.

It is true that the US has been able to give more to it's "allies" than the Chinese could to theirs, due to the fact that it was much richer than the Chinese in the past

Consider the fact that it is now predicted widely that the Chinese economy will end up several times larger than the US by as early as 2030 and you can work out who is now the better bet for a long term relationship.

You dont get the point do you ? In terms of trade in a buy sell relationship China is big time seller and US is a big time buyer of products and services ... That being the case for your country or any other asian country US/EU is a better partner to have than china since china is a competitor and US/EU is a customer .... you want your country men to prosper better decide which partner to have

On a more rational note , i am in awe of China and its rapid economic strides too , would love to see India grow at a steady pace and take positives from Chinese model as a complement to Indias democratic model which will help India in a long run

China has itself to blame, for all this.

All of allies of USA become rich ..... Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand etc etc etc.
USA is the biggest destination for exports for all these countries.

Who-ever tried to align with China, got impoverished .... North Korea, Pakistan, Myanmar !!!
China used these economies as source of raw materials, and was detrimental to the growth of their own economies.

The funny things is.. China itself was poor before it aligned itself with USA (post-Nixon).
And USA even made China economically better.

It doesn't need a high "IQ" to see, why all countries want to align with USA, and hang up on China (undoing their earlier mistake).

Blame on China? Maybe you forget that, USA put the sanction against NK and Myanmar, and china is also poor, we are not rich country, let alone turn our allies into rich countries. and we have not enough power to break the sanction, what we can do is just support them as we can. About Pak, it is different, because of the geographic, the war between PAK and India, and SU invaded the Afghan, then USA involve pak in the terrorist war. all lead to the poor in PAK!!!
Now, in the world, USA press the rival country, If you are small, It is hard for them if the western restrain them!!!

Truth is China too has poverty , china too has illiteracy, health hazards and many other problems a developing country has .... but truth also is China has leapfrogged from what it was a couple of decades ago and is surely emerging superpower which will eventually break the American hegemony !

Truth is China too has poverty , china too has illiteracy, health hazards and many other problems a developing country has .... but truth also is China has leapfrogged from what it was a couple of decades ago and is surely emerging superpower which will eventually break the American hegemony !

China has very little illiteracy. We have poverty, health hazards, but illiteracy was pretty much eliminated by the 90's.

i agree that we have few allies, but I don't think we truly need allies. China is bigger than the rest of East Asia combined both in land area and population.

we just need fewer hardcore enemies.

Every day Americans sit on their couches hoping and wishing that the two largest populations "hordes" end up wiping each other out so that America stays top dog. The Indian media especially Times of India and other services have done nothing but to promote this thought. Sad that Indians are brainwashed by Westerners to fight against their asian neighbour so that the Asians can stay down and the West can stay on top.

The only Ally China needs is Russia and their alliance and formation of SCO and cooperation from the UNSC to settling of border issues in the early 2000s mean that neither country needs pawns in the Western chess game but rather together the two country with a shared history of socialism has clear understanding of each other and of the West's game.

Pakistan is an all weather friend of China since both 'modern' countries were created. Countries such as "burma" or North Korea are authoritarian like China but they do not care about their citizens livelihood or improvement of living standards which makes them almost pariah states which Pakistan is definitely not of.
