China GDP plummets to 0.4% in Q2

Why do you think so many elderly will have disproportionately more severe reactions to the vaccine then other countries? Both the US and China have an average population age of approx. 38.5. With the added time, China can screen out more at risk people and achieve herd immunity, minimizing risk to the most vulnerable.

I understand some of the reasons many people would be hesitant, but it seems a lot of people want a “no risk” option, which is not realistic. Looks like we gonna hope this virus slowly just becomes endemic over a longer period of time so no local or provincial leaders have to take the blame for any deaths.

In the first half of this year, there was an epidemic in Shanghai, China, so we have enough samples to understand the effect of Kexing vaccine. Shanghai has a population of 50million (25million local population and 25million floating population), and the vaccination rate before the outbreak was 95.2%. After the end of the epidemic, a total of 63464 patients were counted. There were 549727 asymptomatic infections. 595 people died in the end. All the 595 people are over 60 years old. Almost all of these dead old people are old people who have chronic diseases and have not been vaccinated.

We don’t accept any of your random vedic.

We all using IMF standard measurements, that your failed country is in fvcking recession. While China is in stable Positive growth. Accept the fact :enjoy:

China contracted 2.6% Q/Q. You sure sound angry

Failed country? Best universities in the world, best companies in the world, most advanced science and technological base in the world. Yes, what a “failed” country:D

Like India holding AIM120 missile debris and claim that is proof of shooting down a PAF F-16? Who is the king in faking news and data? Lol.
In the democratic, civilized world such facts are verified and if they are untrue, when opposition comes to power the truth finally comes out. We will see how this pans out.

China contracted 2.6% in Q2 when measured quarterly the way the US calculates its GDP.
Don't worry about China. China's GDP in the second quarter was indeed seriously affected by the closure of the city by the epidemic. But now the closure has been lifted and our economy has returned to normal.

On the contrary, the U.S. economic situation is worrying. Raising interest rates will affect the willingness of enterprises to expand, personal consumption willingness, and economic growth. The Federal Reserve will not choose to raise interest rates unless necessary. How many times has the USA raised interest rates now? Inflation has not come down. If the CPI is not reduced as much as possible, the economic crisis will come.

Compare your pity Bus Station & dirty stone age port in US, to China one. You can see the difference between who’s living in the past and who’s living in the future :enjoy:

If your going to use Y/Y GDP growth then the US grew 3.5% in Q1. You can’t have it both ways.

As for science and tech, I’ll take Peking researchers assessment. Relative to the US, China is behind in most fields, equal in few, and ahead in very few.

In fact, due to the impact of the closure of the city by the epidemic, the domestic GDP growth was -1.7%. However, due to the substantial growth of foreign trade and trade surplus, the final GDP growth in the second quarter was 0.4%.

So what is the plan from here? Shanghai has opened up again. what do the next 12 months tentatively look like from here?

China was on a good path till the Wuhan virus debacle and the botched CCP attempt to hide the truth. Ever since, Xi has been taking disastrous decisions that's sent large swathes of China into miserable inhumane containment, their economy in near shambles, banking system in crutches, the vaunted BRI near liquidation with Africa, Srilanka etc al realizing and exposing the CCP facades. Worst of all these catastrophic mistakes is the continued reluctance to accept the failed chinese vaccines. Is XI's false pride more important than millions of Chinese lives? CcP has said yes.

Meanwhile the few bones still being thrown to a few cohorts such as Putin and Pakistan have maintained a facade of interernational engagement by China.

Xi and CCP have China on the wrong side. Chinese people deserve better.

January 2022, June 2022, What's the difference? You don't expect US to upgrade their Entire National Railway System by single night, don't you  Show me High-Speed Train Network like this in the US then..

I was referring to the robberies. The US doesn’t prioritize what most people wouldn’t use. People drive and fly more, which is why those things get the investments they do.

It is strictly forbidden to vaccinate covid-19 against Guillain Barre syndrome, uncontrolled epilepsy, transverse myelitis, allergic urticaria, etc. Therefore, the vaccination rate in Shanghai is only 95.2%. The deaths of hundreds of people also proved the vulnerability of these unvaccinated elderly people in the face of the epidemic. Therefore, if we give up the zero covid policy, we will give up the lives of 4.8% of the population. This is close to 60million people.
