China FM: China to complete construction plans for Dong Lang (Doklam) subject to local conditions

Tell me honestly, do you TRUST the Chinese government not to build a road in Donglang, now that it is controlled by the Chinese Army?

And for how long do you trust them to do that?

Did you also trust the Chinese government not to build infrastructure in India's claimed territory of Kashmir in the CPEC project?

Would you trust the Chinese government not to build any more islands in the South China Sea, after the international court ruling?

If believe all that, then you trust them even more than I do.

He already knows the answer, clearly China got the strategic victory this time, it was de facto annexation of Doklam with no bullets fired. Instead of just a road, they now got permanently stationed troops, and best of all Indian troops retreated back unilaterally, how will Bhutan view India now?. Good job Doval, Chanakya indeed.

.
Whether you trust it or not, China had to stop road construction and withdraw, now they are reduced to issuing statements like 'we will patrol the area' (sure, as before, that's status quo), 'will plan infrastructure based on local condition' (sure, saving face is important).....we still hold advantageous positions in Doklam, now we also have a permanent base there, and we will repeat what we did if the Chinese try to act funny again. But why are we even discussing this? We 'will' discuss this when China 'will' come back, if ever.

Are you joking?

It was India who unilaterally withdrew from Donglang, which means they handed over Bhutan's territory to China. :P

Whereas the Chinese government has officially said that China will maintain patrols and GARRISONS in Donglang, while they have confirmed that all Indian troops have left.

.
and where was you so called "Fun" in last 2 months when indians were sitting in chinese territory ?
Transporting troops ? weapons ? but chinese artillery cud hit upto 300km.
India sitting in Chinese territory ?
India is STUCK in Chinese territory.
India not withdrawing for loss of face and credibility, cannot stay too long before war breaks out.
Indian soldiers are shivering with fright on Donglang waiting and waiting for when China will strike.
Sure was a torturous 2 months for Indian Jawans.

India wisely decided to stand down in shame to avoid massive destruction and dismemberment of its states by China.
India OBEYED China's order.
Good Boy India.

Left? Ha ha ha!! We are there, keeping watch over Chinese activity, we are just not standing on that particular spot since China has withdrawn and gone back.

1. China and Bhutan both were patrolling the area for years.

2. China tried to push around a small country like Bhutan by changing the ground positions there by building a road.

3. India moved in to honor its friendship treaty with Bhutan and made China stop the road construction with immediate effect, and asked China to withdraw its road construction equipment, restoring status quo.

4. A military stand-off begins with hourly threats of war from China, India didn't budge from its demand, nor paid any attention to constant Chinese threats.

5. After 70 days China meekly withdraw all the road construction equipment first, followed by a mutual military deescalation, thus restoring status quo.

6. China issued face saving statements like "we will patrol the area" (sure, that's restoring status quo), and "will follow our infrastructure plan based on weather, ground situation, necessary changes, etc. etc. etc." with no specific timeline (sure, saving face is important).

7. On the ground, India has stopped Chinese illegal road construction, mutually deescalated the situation as China complied with Indian demands, and restored status quo.

Now people should learn to accept the reality, that Chinese strength is in projecting threats with shrill words, and not in its ability to follow up with real action on the ground. China's higher deeper friend Pakistan should know it better when China just sat on the fence and watched in 1965, 1971, 1987, & 1999.

Some mutual defence treaty, India just unilaterally retreated from Donglang, and handed over Bhutan's territory to China.

The Chinese foreign ministry then said that China would not just be patrolling Donglang, but also setting up permanent garrisons there. As well as finishing off the construction of the road too. :enjoy:

So in essence, India's withdrawal has led to China's permanent military presence in Donglang via garrisons. All this is according to the official spokesperson of the Chinese government.

.
70 WARNINGS? Is that even physically possible, I guess you are mistaking media commentaries as official statements? China gave 3 diplomatic warnings and 1 military warnings. 1 month to mobilize SAMs, Howtizers, medicine, food supplies, troops, ammunition, missiles, from 1000+km away including preparedness exercises near the border for acclimatization. That's not even completed yet, maybe will need another month to complete it. It also includes mobilizations near Aksai Chin in preparation for a 2 front war. Why do you think India withdrew a week after we escalated there?

That's how Indians make themselves believe they are the tough guy. Some even counted my post as a warning. These defective Indian products are beyond repair! :cheesy:

It was china that meekly complied with our order after passing so much hot air, and now giving funny statements like 'weather', 'local conditions', etc. etc. I know it's hard, but learn to live with that reality.

China's carefully crafted fake image of power got dented severely, you guys didn't expect India to step in while bullying a tiny country of only 8 million people, did you? What a shame!

How can you stop China's road construction now that all of your troops have retreated out of Donglang, abandoning Bhutan to China? :P

You had a good strategic position in Donglang with your unarmed hand-holding soldiers, but now all those positions are filled with Chinese troops. And soon, landmines. You've given up all your leverage on the day you decided to retreat.

There is a Delusion called Indilusion. :cheesy:

btw, there are only 800 thousand people in Bhutan. You are a Failed product of a failed education of a failed country.

.
I am yet to understand why people think China has lost when without even firing a bullet they made India to back off from the place?
What guarantee is in place that China wont start the road again? Don't you think if they start again, they wont allow Indian army to enter again in their territory?

Calm down guys, take a few deep breaths, have a good night sleep, give it a few days...let the burning sensation of utter humiliation heal slowly....then go around telling the world that you are waiting for the 'weather condition' to improve!

They didn't come to Pakistan's rescue in 1965, 1971, 1987, 1999...did they? When will you guys realize that 'chinese power' is like 'chinese products', cheap, fake and hollow. :)

Because they think Disrupting Chinese road construction is the "Biggest Victory for India in Decades".
