China-EU Geopolitics: News & Discussions

Why should we care who controls the islands?
every responsible and strong nation should care about what is happening elsewhere in the world specially when one rising power is using its muscle power to bully other nations....Look back at the history and you will realize it...If US led allies had not interfered, Germany would have captured the whole of Europe !

It is Aquino that first send your coastguard that chase out our Chinese fishermen in scarborough shoal. What a nice spin by Pinoy. The Chinese only response to provocation.

So I guess in this world, we Filipinos are not allowed to detain illegal Chinese fishermen inside the PH EEZ,whereas the Chinese are allowed to do so.

You are surely following the path of the US, except you are more insensitive than the Americans were because of your arrogance.

If US and western world has not interfere Libya and Iraq, the world will be a better place.

Now these places are breeding ground for terrorist.

It is not inside PH EEZ. So your point? Then why stick with US if you think US has walk that path too? :enjoy:

Scarborough shoal is inside the PH EEZ as it is 118 nautical miles away from the nearest PH province.

At least the US, despite its faults, helped us developed, what about Imperial China? They only gave vase ceramics and gave birth to Tsinoys, some of them only ruin the PH, and as for your PRC, it only exported communist terrorism.

But I am pretty sure you will say I am isolated now because the new PH president has positive views towards China.

Why should we care who controls the islands?
Because of the EEZ that comes along with each one.
If these zones overlap due to proximity of the reefs to one another,
the owner can claim control over navigation.

They want target radar lock with antiship missiles from J-11B, let them have a taste!
One false flagger amongst many! China is not number one yet
judging by how many of its people want to pass as Americans
in order to strengthen the worth/weight of their words.

Be proud, speak as yourselves or shut the flock up!

When you disrespect our sovereign rights, then that's a problem that could lead to war.
Except if these sovereign rights are stolen from someone else ...
in which case the problem is you.

Since when did China became an island nation?

Roughly 4,000+ years ago. At least if you understand Island-Nation as a G-P concept
as I termed it myself years ago. China is a civilization by itself of sorts. What we are
witnessing is the complement to when Western Civilization forced it to open its doors
a couple hundred years back, Great Opening 2.0 if you will.

France is nuclear armed.

And yet we never threaten of using our nukes, contrary to say Russia or Tea Partyers.
Just sayin'

As if China is not nuclear armed? If French wants to play, we can play a bigger stake! :enjoy:

No, you can't! Check your facts, we have the third nuclear arsenal behind Russia & USA.

There was more to say but reading the thread so far did little to convince me
that an intelligent exchange would follow. If it calms down, when the kids are
recess, maybe ...

In the meanwhile, relax and have a great day all, Tay.

So UK is seperated by a 150km strait from France. That means France can claim UK?

Your post is as good as trash!

Speak like a god and think China stole their island? Yes, China is evil , the West is so saint, enslaving the black colonise the Asia?

Picking some make you feel good western article that has no clear clue of nuclear stockpile? I would not be surprised they put North Korea nuclear stockpile more than China next time?

You are the one behaving more like a kid. :enjoy:

Your post is as good as trash!

Coming from you ( and judging by the nature of your answer ), that's rich!

I didn't say China was evil and praised it for its cohesion while mentioning
that the West had forcefully created its own misery in pulling it in the fray.

As for the article, a single line by the F.A.S. is worth a ton of your phony sources ...
when you have them which is rare.

Great way ( if a bit disappointing ) to show that you answer out of nerves
since the content of the posts you reply to seems to elude you most times.

And no, I won't blame it on China : it's entirely your responsibility if you don't make sense!

GL with that level of convo to the rest, Tay.

Yes yes, the west knows China nuclear stockpile more than Chinese themselves. Western sources is the bible. :enjoy:

In term of capabilities and carrier, China is on top of France. China has conducted 8th successful HGV which is the silver bullet in Nuclear strike while France is no where to possess such capabilities.

from the news i read...

maybe u.k. germany, italy , canada gt get involve as well

I doubt it since it does not suit their interests and with the current economy they don't want to piss off China, but I could be wrong. Just wait and see.

The G7( groups Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States)

Group of Seven (G7) leaders agreed on Thursday on the need to send a strong message on maritime claims in the western Pacific, where an increasingly assertive China is locked in territorial disputes with Japan and several Southeast Asian nations.

The agreement prompted a sharp rejoinder from China, which is not in the G7 club but whose rise as a power has put it at the heart of some discussions at the advanced nations' summit in Ise-Shima, central Japan.

"Prime Minister (Shinzo) Abe led discussion on the current situation in the South China Sea and East China Sea. Other G7 leaders said it is necessary for G7 to issue a clear signal," Japanese Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroshige Seko told reporters after a session on foreign policy affairs.

I only see "to issue a clear signal" but not sending ships to sail around SCS together. However, one thing you are right you just said "get involved". My mistake.

Because those fishermen are inside the Philippine territory, yet Scarborough shoal is not recognize by many countries save for China's allies as "Chinese territory" and it is inside the EEZ of the Philippines, thus we are granted the right to use that area to get resources... but you are just going to retort that "Scarborough shoal is China territory", thus answering your first question is like talking a wall.

Stop spitting lies, your coast guard PREVENTS fishermen from other country to fish in that sea area, while at the same time you let those fishermen of yours to enter territories inside the Philippine islands, and I mean in the ******* center of the island clusters in the middle of the Philippine islands just to poach.

I am not talking about the Malacca strait but rather that entire sea area you "claim"; don't be naive, China had made fake islands that can be used to station PLAN and PLAAF units, do you think your government is not planning to blockade my country instead of making sanctions?
They are not inside your territory. Your territorial water only extend to 12nm. Everything outside of the 12nm is subject to water demarcation if there is one, especially when another sovereign country own a territory. Like I like, it does not matter if it lies inside your eez. The right of a sovereign territory takes precedent over your eez.

Why would we need to blockade your country? You're are hilarious. LOL

Except if these sovereign rights are stolen from someone else ...
in which case the problem is you.
If your argument is that our territories is stolen and other is legit. Then there is nothing for us to talk about, my friend. Our issue warning is very clear and we are not afraid to fight a war to defend our territorial rights.

It was what I meant that this is the sole important point.
However, I have no single view on ( nor role in ) the matter.

For example, some islands seem Chinese, some not and some in jeopardy,
at least from a neutral observer point of view.
I think there could be a discussion between us if you cared to explain your position.
And let's agree that a preemptive, all encompassing and resounding -No, mine/ours!
cry as an answer doesn't show your party in the best of lights?

In any case, anytime a decision is rendered by an international authority
and no matter which side it favours, the problem goes away ... what I said.

Have a good day, Tay.

Which islands seem Chinese, which is not and some in jeopardy? Be clear. And what is your proficiency in understanding the SCS? Because without a clear view of SCS and knowledgeable like I do, it is hard for me to take your words serious. I hope you understand that, my friend. LOL

What international authority? Why don't you ask the international authority to give our Diaoyu back stolen from Japan when we were weak and we will take their authority serious. Perhaps, our trust in them will increase after all.
