I heard 10,000 t and others say 12,000 t

How many do you think will be produced? If it's at that level than it's larger than anything the US has produced, other than our Zumwalts which were producing only 3 of...

I hope these four shipyards to build 052D/055 at the same time though they play different role in the industry! If this come to true that will be amazing.

WuHan is non-nuclear sub building center for China, Hu Lu Dao is nuclear sub building center. Both we didn't ever see build DDG before.

What I concerned is if WHS has the conditions/capabilities to buld 052D/055.

And I wish these shipyards can do things as fast as they can to build more 052D and 055.

About 12,000ton 055 DDG ... i just read news few days ago,we might see 055 building at the beginning of 2015 year only one shipyard to build first. Before 2020, China plan to launch 2x 055 DDGs and more 055 DDGs after 2020.

1. Zumwalts is better than 055 including power system & weapons system, also more expensive. Right now China can't afford Zumwalts price.
2. 055 is the bigger version of 052D, carrying 100+ VLS. 052D 7000ton ==> 055 12,000+ ton

Eventually all major shipyards in China will be turning out 052/055 class. With so much money and effort going into the PLAN it is bound to happen. The only question that remains is the rate at which they could build such ships in full production.

About 2 years for a 7000 tons class DDG like the Type 052D.

I think we still need to improve the efficiency by shortening the time of the construction to the deployment.

15000 tons max load, since its gas turbine is double of that of the Type 052D (7500 tons).

But if to sail about 35 knots, then 12000 tons is the better tonnage.

The Type 055 will have in 2 in construction, while the even bigger Type 055A will presumably have more under the plan.

052D had installed 64x CCL on the ship, 055 is a bigger 052D so add more. Right now we still know nothing about this new CCL system, new one appeared on 052D class different with 052C's & 054A's VLS

In China we call 055 still a DDG...

Not just a bigger version, the combat system of the Type 055 is a new level compared to the Type 052D.

Zumwalt is better in the stealth technology, but its dual band AESA radar and VLS system haven't yet to be proved better than that of the Type 055.

Mind you that Zumwalt only has 80 VLS units, whereas the Type 055 is going to have 112, and the later Type 055A will even have more.

I believe the DBR on Zumwalt will be the SPY-3. What is china's equivalent that will be on the 055?

The Zumwalt could still quadpack ESSMs for anti-ship defense. I think china has a similar system with the quadpack but i forget the designation.

鱼-8 / Yu-8 rocket torpedo had used on 054A FFG's VLS.
