I ever gave the example like U.S DDG plans from A.B Block-I => A.B Block-II => future A.B Block-III, u just refuse to see the truth of China DDG development.


Anyway 6x 052C DDGs had joint PLAN and deployed in SCS & ECS Fleets, 1x 052D (N.o172) deployed in SCS Fleet, rest all r 052D and 055 DDGs building.

Nobody know it, 1st & 2nd 052C (N.o170, N.o171) built 10 years ago, at that time China met a problem of DA80 gas turbine imported from Ukraine. Only built 2x 052C DDGs.

After nearly 10-year domestic gas turbine research & design (Ukraine gas turbine Made in China), rest 4x 052C DDGs with China QC280 gas turbines built started from 2011.

During past 10 years, China developed domestic VLS system (052C's HHQ-9 cold-launched VLS => Multi-role VLS), AESA radar system (type346 => type346A AESA), Close-defence system (type1130 CIWS, HHQ-10 missile), Qc280 gas turbines mass prodution for 052C/D. So 2012 China 052D DDG out, 052C update to 052D.

Future following China new weapon & shipbuilding tech developing, there will be new DDG out like 055.
