There's a new solution for China's pollution problem—a giant solar powered laser floating around in space! According to China's Communist Party mouthpiece Xinhua News Agency, this will be "the largest-ever space project." According to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, by 2050, China will have a trillion dollar gigantic spacecraft with 2 square miles of solar panels, collecting solar energy to power the Earth in the form of lasers. The pollution, climate change, energy crisis has been solved.

I cannot say if this is April Fools or not as many articles I looked at the internet that leads to this topic is dated April 1.

Is it realistic? Maybe in the future.
Chinese cities should focus on technological innovation of course, and gradually move low value-added industry to other countries.

Overall China is more polluted than India. Most of the pollution in Indian cities is due to vehicles and not due to industrial wastes
Nonsense. WHO report has already mention that India is more polluted than China. You can imagine India has almost no sewage system and everything goes into their river.

Many india power supply is by coal as it is a cheap source of raw material.

I guess you have feed with too much China bashing propangada.

Can you post the link?

Beast there is something called brain. Use it.

Read the document and the methodology. WHO results are based on urban outdoor air pollution
So? Who is not using brain? Air pollution is not pollution? And how does your bogus source define the pollution index overall.

Mind you, my report is done by WHO and not some Tom dick Harry bogus sources.

Sure...you are ranking is by city. I am talking of country

Pollution Index by Country 2015
same source:

World Map of current Pollution Index

point is India is already so much polluted even without industrialization. wonder how India would manage it when you guys start to industrialize on the scale China did?

Modi: India must surpass China in steel production

Modi made a strong pitch for his "Make in India" initiative. "When I talk of 'Make in India', I am not ready to lag behind anyone."

apparently India is determined to go all in industrialization.

good luck.

also about the source:
Numbeo allows you to see, share and compare information about pollution (and cleanliness and purity) worldwide. It surveys the following about pollution in the cities:
  • Satisfaction with air quality
  • Quality and accessibility of drinking water
  • Water pollution (general)
  • Satisfaction with garbage disposal
  • Does people find the city clean and tidy
  • Noise pollution and light during the night in the city
  • Green and parks in the city
  • Feeling of being comfortable to spend time in the city because of the pollution
it's opinion base survey result. hence not credible
