China confirms to build 4 Aircraft Carriers

^^^^^^
Stick to the topic please. On topic seems Type 001 will be like the Ulyanovsk or upgraded Liaoning.

Naval battles against the South Vietnamese Navy in 1974 and another confrontation 1988 both victories, PLAN also received Aircraft Carrier training from Brazil. Try not to troll.
Well he wanted to know about the IN and its conditions. Anyways, cool..once in a while troll is allowed no? :D

cheers!

Can you provide the link for that claim .

The link no longer exists. The author deleted all his posts among vociferous Indian protests. If I recall correctly, the entire episode only lasted a few days.

.
It didnt mention about building of nuclear CVN

So
1 for east sea
2 for SCS
1 for Malacca Strait / oil route
1 standby rotation / training

Can you provide the link for that claim .

this could be the link
It was very hilarious!
US Naval Officer spent 5 days onboard an Indian Navy warship, INS Delhi

Other than that indian navy has these mess:

Amid all this rigmarole, India is left with just 10 ageing Russian Kilo-class and four German HDW submarines, with just over half of them being fully operational at any given time. Projections show only five of the existing 14 submarines will be operational by 2020.

Policy paralysis hits India's submarine manufacturing plans

NEW DELHI: India's submarine manufacturing plans remain stuck in a debilitating policy paralysis despite China and Pakistan systematically adding teeth to their underwater combat capabilities.

After going around in circles for two years, it's back to square one as far as the proposed over Rs 50,000 crore 'Project-75 India' to construct six new-generation conventional submarines, armed with both land-attack missile capabilities and air-independent propulsion (AIP) for greater underwater endurance, is concerned.

Defence acquisitions council headed by A K Antony, on its part, has now given a fresh go-ahead to the naval proposal to directly import two of the six diesel-electric stealth submarines from the foreign collaborator eventually selected for P-75India. The remaining four boats will be built at Mazagon Docks (MDL) at Mumbai and Hindustan Shipyard Ltd (HSL) at Visakhapatnam after transfer of technology.

This marks a return to the original decision taken in early-2010, which had run aground due to squabbling between Navy and MoD's defence production department. "P-75India should have got going several years ago. With so much delay in even finalizing its contours, India cannot hope to induct these submarines anytime before 2022 at the earliest now,'' said a source.

With MoD deciding to keep the private sector out of the immediate submarine production plans, a scramble is in progress to "ready'' the case for fresh approval by CCS. "The global tender (request for proposal) can only be floated after the CCS nod since two submarines have to be imported. Moreover, the AoN (acceptance of necessity) for P-75India lapses in August,'' said the source.

Navy, incidentally, had all along pushed for importing the first two submarines to make up for lost time. But others in the defence establishment argued the 30-year submarine building plan, as approved by Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in July 1999, envisaged that all 24 vessels would be manufactured in India, the first 12 with transfer of technology from foreign collaborators and the next 12 indigenously.

But 13 years later, not even one new submarine is anywhere close to induction. Even Project-75, under which six French Scorpene submarines are being constructed at MDL for Rs 23,562 crore, is running three years behind the original 2012-2017 induction schedule.

Second, there were major differences on the shipyards, public as well as private, that would execute the second line of submarines under P-75I. After three committees over two years, first led by a joint secretary, then the defence secretary and finally by technocrat V Krishnamurthy, which also assessed the capabilities of private shipyards like L&T, Pipavav and ABG, and intervention by the PMO, the end result has come to naught.

Amid all this rigmarole, India is left with just 10 ageing Russian Kilo-class and four German HDW submarines, with just over half of them being fully operational at any given time. Projections show only five of the existing 14 submarines will be operational by 2020. India, even with six new Scorpenes by then, will remain far short of the minimum of 18 conventional submarines required to deter Pakistan and China.

Thats is all for me at this point to tell you people if we PLAN commit to accomplish we can do it and the quoting of indian navy's operating experience is not considered as a reference to compare with PLAN.

We are in different classes. Dont compare with us on all the positives which will make you feel better

True . You are class apart .

You remain the only navy where fisherman have to inform navy about sunken submarines and fired missiles fallback on submarines .

Of cos ,its truth! Indian navy personnel lack of discipline is well known. If not, how can 2 submarines be destroyed within a year? Lack of proper protocol and ill trained are the only reason lead to those loss.

Your mess is quoted by your own media above and by this uk news

"With serious slippages in the induction plan, the navy is left with an ageing fleet with more than 50% of submarines having completed 75% of their operational life and some already outliving their maximum service life," the report said.

BBC News - INS Sindhurakshak: Indian navy's submarine woes

We can build and maintain very well our fleet which is a lot bigger
Where is india despite having just a much smaller fleet and you are managing it so poorly

You can keep the denial and perenial delusions all to yourselves!

.
Basically it will be 4 aircraft carriers by 2020.

1. Liaoning is already there
2. Type 001A-1 be built in DL
3. Type 001A-2 be built in SWS
4. Type 002 be built in JN

Now Professor Ma is hired by CSSC, so there is chance that the Type 002 will be nuclear + EMALS.

There are only 3 great military powers in the World today who have broad expertise and capacity to produce state-of-the-art military equipment across all areas of the military spectrum. Of course, it's the US, Russia and China. European countries like mine, the UK, France, Italy, and Germany and also Japan and South Korea, are all technologically advanced but none have the capacity and deep funding to invest across the board in comprehensive military R&D. While Russia are relying on the legacy developments of its Soviet heyday and China are a fledgling military power, the US still hold a signifcant edge over Russia and China. I'd expect the US to pull further ahead of Russia, as Russia will struggle to raise funds from arms exports as China begins to eat more and more of its market share. China will get closer to US levels in the coming decades, both quantitatively and qualitatively. In certain areas, like missile development, China are possibly at least on par, if not hold a slight edge, with asymmetric weapons like their ASBM. To be considered a great military power, however, you have to be able to make all the critical components and subsystems yourself, both possessing the human resource expertise, manufacturing capacity and testing facilities. The bottom line, when push comes to shove, and war breaks out, the US, Russia and China can knock out new planes, ships and missiles very quickly, maybe at the cost of build quality, but needs must during war. Everyone's current military inventory would be irrelevant during wartime, as great military powers can multiply their inventory by diverting domestic capacity towards war efforts. China would be the biggest winner in this aspect with colossal steel and aluminum production capacity. They could probably build carriers like they're going out of fashion, not to mention the vast fleet of massive cargo ships which could be converted into make-shift carriers, if needed. A country like India would find most of its military assets destroyed or damaged within a year of a major war and they'd have limited ability to replenish their losses. If they think the Russians are price gouging them now, imagine when India is being held to ransom, and that's even if Russia can get a supply line to them. If India ever wants to be considered a great military power, then they have to get out of their addiction to procuring foreign weapons at marked up prices. Justifying these huge outlays because they believe they also get ToT is superfluous, because India does not have the manufacturing or technical infrastructure to build complex cutting-edge systems like carriers and jet fighters. Their current 'indigenous' systems like Tejas and Brahmos are basically built from foreign made and developed parts and none of them can be considered game-changers in a war against a major power. India will never be a military power anybody takes seriously until they sort their military fromthe bottom up and that starts with their economy and building up their domestic manufacturing and research industries, focusing in particular on dual-use technologies that can benefit the military, and vice versa. I know this is hard to hear but if Indians cannot be honest with their current predicament, then they have no hope of ever getting close to the top 3.
