China Condemns Russian Ambassador's Murder in Turkey

China condemns Monday's killing of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov and supports Russia's fight against terrorism, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday.

BEIJING (Sputnik) — On Monday, Karlov was killed by a gunman at an art gallery exhibition opening in Ankara. Three other people were also injured in the attack. The Russian Foreign Ministry said it considers the attack a terrorist act.

"The Chinese side strongly condemns this savage act committed against a diplomat and opposes any form of terrorism… The Chinese side is ready to firmly support Russian efforts and actions in fighting terrorism alongside the international community, as well as improving cooperation in the fight against terror," the minister said in a letter to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, as quoted in a Foreign Ministry statement.

Love to see China get militarily involved in Syria and start killing ISIS and rebels in partnership with Russia.

Russia, China, and the US, time for the biggies to set their differences aside and unite against islamic terror.

Still too early for China. I provides diplomatic support. Actualy, if Russia and US really cooperated on eliminating terrorists regardless of their level of mildness, there would be no need for a third hand.

He shouted Allah hu Akbar and murdered him.
Turkey backed this murder?

China can never get involved.
Its still a regional power.

It will happen much faster than you can imagine. Economically, China now has more influence than the US and Europe combined in some regions. Economy always come with military power, to protect their interest.

The Chinese, probably the most practical people on earth, will never openly pursue the title "superpower" or "world police" as the more stupid Russia and the US do. They will patiently wait until their time comes, when other countries ask for their intervention and ask them to be the top dog. As usual, they will always have the last laugh.

True, but it wouldn't it be nice if all 3 united against the evil ideology of jihad ?

and rising quickly, after the US and Russia there is no one else but China, any 4th military power is a very very distant one.

Get your facts right. Turkey did not back this murderer.
President Erdogan said that Turkey's relationship with Russia is very important.

Yep Turkey had the Russian envoy shot while the Turkish Foreign Minister was on a plane headed to Moscow for important talks on Syria....you are a moron
Just ignore the poster's silly comment.

He was definitely radicalized. Turkey has a great number of radical religious groups running sampan, one of them being IHH, a pseudo humanitarian organization which also has a hand in Xinjiang terrorism.

You may do an internet research on this organization.

I am not sure they have direct linkages with the Turkish government; but, they have been actively working to demonize Russia (Putin), Iran, US and other whom they believe are complicit in the "humanitarian" crisis of their brothers and sisters in Aleppo.

The murderer of the Russian Ambassador also shouted he was taking vengeance for Aleppo.

Pro-government newspapers are going red-hot crazy over Aleppo and, normally, people are radicalized. Turkey is currently one of the most radicalized and explosive societies in the world.

I think current Turkey government is now cornered, which is a good news for regional peace, especially for Syria.

Less Turkey involvement, more stability.

Putin is likely use this brutal murder to get further strategic concessions from Turkey regarding Syria.

If I were one of those green bus terrorists now residing in Idlib, I would now start to pack up and go home in Turkey, KSA or wherever.

From now on even Turkey supported terrorist groups that comprise FSA will not be spared. Turkey is having last glorious days in their textbook "operation" inside Syria.

One thing is for sure, they won't be praying in Damascus. Probably Putin will visit there along with President Assad.

.
Sorry for interjecting.

IMHO, in the last few years Turkey has made miscalculations in the geo-political sphere.

Going forward, let's hope Turkey will play a more stabilizing role in ME.
